Hi bees! This is my first post! I am getting married in May 2011 and I need to order my dress pronto! I’m deciding between two — the Paloma Blanca 4104 and a second one, called “Grace.” Unfortunately I don’t know the second designer and can’t find a pic online, but I’ve posted a picture of a similar dress. The one I’m considering doesn’t have a sash across the bodice and the skirt has pick-ups.
We are having a late morning ceremony and my Fiance is leaning toward wearing a morning suit (gray, with a vest).
I like the PB because it is SO classic and simple, but I think the second one might have more “pop.” Which do you prefer?

Personally its hard to vote on a dress without seeing it on you, because it usually looks different on different people. but if I have to choose one, I would choose the 2nd one

@bells: agreed. without seeing it on you it’s impossible to pick one…
i like the way the 1st one looks on the model, though. the second one has too much goin’ on for me.

100 % the first one. I see it as elegant and classic, in a style that will be flattering on many figures.

Ok I picked the first dress, but I think I’d like the second dress better if it didn’t have the bow at the waist. I know you said the second dress is similar but not exactly what you’re thinking about ordering so its hard to be sure. I think the skirt is interesting but needs a simpler bodice.

I voted for the PB. I was looking for this one in the stores to try on but never found it, so I got another PB dress 🙂 I love the simple, elegant lines in the first one.

Hard to tell without seeing it on you, but I prefer the PB. I also feel like the second one might be hard for a lot of people to “pull off” b/c it has so much going on… but who knows.

I like the first one better. I think it has timeless beauty that you won’t regret looking back at your pics.

i couldn’t vote because they’re both beautiful. the paloma is elegant and timeless, and the second is just dreamy. which one do you think you would feel most comfortable in? have you tried on both? when you do get to try them on, i bet you’ll know! it can definitely be a tough decision, though, deciding between different styles. i had the same issue. but both are gorgeous and you can’t go wrong. why am i writing such a long comment.

I wore a Paloma Blanca, so I might be biased, but I love your PB! The second one is too busy for my taste.

I usually like more simple gowns, but I actually love the second one! It’s so unique and has nice details.

I have to say that I love the Grace dress. Normally I don’t like anything like that but that dress is beautiful!!!!!

Welcome to Weddingbee! It’s hard to say without seeing them on you, but I think I like the simpler dress for a morning ceremony.

Both are beautiful but I love the 2nd one more.

I prefer the first one but only slightly! Both are beautiful dresses…I think it depends on which is the most comfortable for you and whether your wedding is a little bit more polished or more vintagey-dreamy style…Good luck!
