clattarulo626: If it is the bottom of the Lazaro that is holding you up, what about this Anne Barge? The lace is similiar.

clattarulo626:  Well, if you can find someone to alter the top for you, I say go for it. Vera can survive 😉

Not to add more options, since I’m sure you’ve been overwhelmed and are excited to have finally narrowed down to two options, but I think Essence of Australia does some really nice dresses similar to what you’re looking at. Here’s just a few I thought you might like (lace on top, ruffles on bottom):

Also, I think you should ignore the fiance’s friend who says you look like a fish! You might look a little out of place when you JUST have the dress on, but add the hair and makeup and jewelry and bouquet and GIANT GRIN, you’re going to look like a bride – don’t you worry! It’s probably just not her style, that’s why she’s not a big fan. You go with what YOU love. And – once you’ve decided, do not look back!!

clattarulo626:  Hmm, good point. I think you can order Gemma in different colors. You could always take it to an independent seamstress to add a lace overlay but you would definitely have to do your research. What about combining two different Lazaro dresses? Like the bottom of the LZ 3253, which is similar to the Gemma. You could probably even remove the illusion neckline and make it strapless–worth a try.

Here’s a link to someone who altered the neckline of this dress: http://www.nearlynewlywed.com/products/lz3253-lazaro-organza-ball-gown

clattarulo626:  So what? It was just another idea in a similar style to the two you were trying to decide between.
