I love your ceremony dress! I think they both look good on you. However, I think the reception dress looks…thin. It almost looks like lingerie (slip/chemise) material. I definitely wouldnt wear that for the ceremony.

I really love your ceremony dress. It looks stunning on you and I think you should wear it for most of the night. I’d change into your reception dress just before leaving as I also think it looks too much like lingerie!

I’m sorry, I have to agree with PPs that the reception dress is too thin and clingy for me. Your ceremony dress is beautiful though!

Ceremony dress is gorgeous! I also agree with the PPs regarding the reception dress

I agree with PPs. Your ceremony dress is stunning, but your reception dress definitely reads lingerie to me. It’s very clingy. Have you tried it on with shapewear to make it less clingy? It may look more like a gown in that case, but I still love your ceremony dress way more.

@Marquise123:  Your ceremony dress is gorgeous, and it definitely does not make you look like a hippo!  I don’t always love the really blingy gowns, but that dress is very elegant.  I honestly think you should just wear that the entire night and wear the reception dress to another event (if possible).  It doesn’t look like lingerie to me, but it also doesn’t seem “special” enough to wear to your wedding.  It just looks like a pretty dress.

@Marquise123:  Your ceremony dress is amazing. But I also agree with PPs.. the reception dress looks too much like a lingerie. Moreover personally I think your reception dress doesn’t do a good job of flattering your figure. Maybe it’s about the photos, but in all photos, your figure looks much more beautiful in the ceremony dress.

@Marquise123:  LOL I’m definitely in the minority. I adore both (although I like the reception dress a tad more on you). Is it Vera?

Definitely wear a slip/Spanx underneath to smooth out your lady bits/curves. ;D

@Marquise123:  It’s not the weight, love. It’s just that the unforgiving silk charmeuse bias cut is so clingy that all of your natural curves are on display if you don’t wear something underneath (even if you were a size 00). Once you add some smoothing undergarment, you should be good to go!

ETA: Here it is on the slender model (no slip/shapewear–shows everything):

Here it is on real brides (slip/shapewear–much smoother fit):

@Marquise123:  I really like the ceremony dress. I feel like it would be a waste to only wear it for the ceremony. I’m not a huge fan of the reception dress. It looks like something you’d wear to bed…
