heavenscent : I like Alex the most based on your photos, but that might be because it was the only one that looked like anything like it’s supposed to look on you in the right size.

I also maybe like the Juliet but it seemed to make you look a little larger – but I think it was because it didn’t fit you. (It doesn’t look like they clipped any of those dresses onto you properly, which made them look really baggy on you – why do they do that?)

heavenscent :  dresses 3 6 and 8 are my favourites on you and I think they’d really fit with your venue. You look beautiful in all of them though

To be honest, I really don’t care for any of these necklines. Full disclosure, I am especially not a fan of the deep plunge. I just don’t think a wedding is the appropriate venue for it. But putting that aside, no matter how trendy, you have to look for what looks best on you. I think you can do better.

heavenscent :  Have been thinking some more about what might suit you and I think you’d suit something that either cinches your waist (thorough a full, gathered/pleated skirt and some horizontal detail) or completely skims over the waist in a continuous line without adding bulk.

Here are some examples of what I mean.

(options that cinch in the waist)

(options that flow over the waist)

I’ve just picked ballgowns but it’s quite possible you’d suit fitted dresses as well – it’s just impossible to tell when the ones you tried on are so baggy on you!

I think the style of the Juliet is lovely on you, but as others have said, it doesn’t seem to fit quite right and accordingly is not hanging in a flattering way. I love the fit of Alex on you, though I am not a fan of sweetheart necklines in general. I am also with PPs in that I really dislike the ‘boob slit’ current fashion, so discounted many of your other tries on that basis. I think your dress is still out there – I like some of the options that clairebeebear suggests – the off the shoulder look may give the romantic feel you are looking for (I think!). I would keep looking 🙂

YAY SCOTLAND!!! My favs are the Juliet and the Alex.  The Juliet is so dreamy and absolutely has that “forest fairytale” feel but needs taking in at the bodice/waist.  If it can’t be taken in more, keep looking for something similar because it is boxy and short waisted as is.

The Alex is classic, probably the most flattering for your figure, and is also excellent for your venue. The Norah and Cher without the overskirt do nothing for you.

I also think the Alex one is already stunning on you and enhance your figure, no need to be tinyer.
