I purchased a lace trumpet style dress from David’s and am now having second thoughts. What do you think? (Note: cups have not been sewn in yet, so ignore the bad fit at the top please) I like the slim fit and color, and lean towards a vintage, classic look, and it works with that concept. I’m just not sure I love it.
While I was at David’s trying the dress on this weekend, I saw another dress (that my mother and I initially really liked on the mannequin but didn’t try on–I couldn’t justify $1,300 at David’s) that is now on sale and within the budget. The white pouffy style isn’t what I originally envisioned, and it’s hard to tell how figure-flattering it would be since the sample was 2 sizes too big, but I really like the fern pattern.
Neither of the dresses gave me ‘the feeling’, nor did any of the (many, many) others I tried on at other salons. Should I keep looking? If I return the trumpet dress, and buy something at another salon, I have to figure out how to sell it, or be ok with a loss, which seems kind of silly. At least if I buy the fern dress, I can apply the cost of the trumpet to the new purchase.
Whew, ok bees, what do you think??? Thanks!
