I don’t care for the top/waistline in the first.  It looks cobbled together whereas the second is one solid piece of fabric.  Number 2 looks more finished/better made.

we have the same taste in dresses! Alright these are pronovias? the first one Bertina? If it is that is my DREAM dress. the second looks like Princia? They are very similar to enzoani which on some dresses are cheaper but look quite similar. They are both beautiful so I dont think you can go wrong with either!

If you like these I would check out Dakota by Enzoani….. It’s the dress I chose because it was more in my price range lol

faerie87:  I bought mine offline from a used website. It wasn’t used, the seller just couldn’t return it so I got it for like 1/3 of the price! The Bertina was over my price range so o couldn’t justify it! The enzoanis are extremely well made and gorgeous just an FYI 😉. Have you looked at Pronovias Princia? It is really similar to the two you chose and is defina cheaper then bertina. Good luck!

Also, just to add- the cobbled together part is usually because of the seamstress or the corset in the dress. I have seen a couple Bertinas that have the same problem. I asked my seamstress about this and she said it’s possible the dress was just too tight or the seamstress took length off the lace in the middle rather then cutting the bottom. So if you do end up purchasing a used dress make sure you ask about how it was hemmed!

faerie87:  when is your wedding? I’m 5’2 and have the Dakota hemmed and everything. My wedding is next weekend… Not sure if i will want to part with it but if I do I can contact you with pictures.

Sad story- I found the Bertina on a used site for $800 in January and it was my size/height everything!  The seller accepted payment and then four days later cancelled! Her husband emailed me and said they were having a daughter and she may want to wear the dress at her wedding and I would know how it felt if I had kids. The whole thing was pretty rude and I was so sad:( lol

faerie87:  Yeah, I meant the fabric stitched together at the seam there.  It was late, my brain stopped pulling out the right words to say.  I prefer the one without the obvious seam.
