@fiona8718:  oh wow! Look up the Pnina dress it looks EXACTLY like the Allure one you are in.

And yes, lace is making a big comeback in wedding dresses and everyday clothes.

But I am dead serious-you look absolutely stunning in that dress and that cut! The detail is perfect and the train is my favorite part. Pair that dress up with a cathedral veil and you will look like a model in a magazine!

    Congrats and happy planning!

@fiona8718:  What size was the ball gown?  Was it way too big on you, like it was a sample 12 and you measure for a 4?  If so, maybe that is part of the reason it’s overwhelming. Maybe it would be better in your size? And I don’t think the lace dress looks like your Asian dress, but if YOU think that, then that is what matters. I think with a veil that it would be absolutely nothing like your Asian dress. That said, it is your wedding and you should follow your heart, so wear what makes you happy!

@fiona8718:  Well, remember that you can wear a gorgeous, formal dress in the other silhouette at other times in your life, and you can wear a beautiful lace dress at other times in your life.  Your wedding is pretty much only one occasion on which you can wear a dramatic ball gown.  🙂

you cant go wrong here.i vote #1 because i think its a bit more modest. I find lace strange cause it reminds me of lingerie,…but thats a personal preference I guess 😀

The lace dress looks as if it was made just for you, and you look radiant in it!  You are so beautiful!!

I’m not a fan of the ballgown on you.  The dress seems to overwhelm you.   If you want your dream ballgown I would suggest looking for one without the ruching on the top which competes with the draping of the skirt, and you don’t need so much bling on the top either.  Maybe a more elegant ballgown, if that is the silhouette you want??

@fiona8718:  have you tried on any other styles than the two pictures above?

what i did for my dress to give it that ballgown/princess effect was add extra layers of crinoline abd it made it perfect.

i would suggest trying on a fit n flare and see if you like it! you might get the best of both worlds

@fiona8718:  I think you look fantastic in the lace dress!  But I can tell that you also have an emotional attachment to the idea of the ballgown.  Your traditional dress is also going to be very fitted and flattering, so maybe it makes sense to get the ball gown to wear with it.  But maybe there is a different ball gown out there for you.  That one looks very heavy, perhaps there’s one with a lighter material, a little less poof??
