They are both nice but I think the A-line does way more for your figure!!

The cut of dress 1 looks so much prettier on you, but that corset top needs to be adjusted, because you’re spilling out of the back. I love the back of dress 2, but the front does not do you any justice. I’d go with dress 1. But I wish you could have the front of dress 1 with the back of dress 2.

I love the front of dress 1 and the back of dress 2 – I know this doesnt really help.

If you wear dress 1, the back will need to be loosened as it is much too tight.

If you can’t adjust it, I’d go 100% with dress 2.

Agree with PPs – if dress 1 doesn’t work with the corset looser then go with dress 2. Also it sounds like you might feel better in dress 2?

I personally think dress #2 is more flattering on you because it fits your figure better, and the long row of buttons down your back is just stunning on you!! Dress one is lovely from the front, but doesn’t fit your back area well enough.

The first one , the A line one   by miles.  The  other is not  flattering at all but rather –  well – matronly, sorry to say .  You do not look wider in the A line,  you look really good, and the sheath does your midsection no favours at all imho.

True what pps say about no 1 being laced up far too tightly though

Like the A-line better but I think you need to keep looking. Neither are really very flattering. Maybe look for an a-line with a different waist line.

I agree with those saying the back of #2 is beautiful but the rest of it does nothing for you. Dress #1 is beautiful on you. You don’t look wide in that dress. You simply look like a beautiful bride to be who has some awesome curves. I think you should celebrate them. Dress one looks great and the corset is all kinds of snatched and the cut of the bodice really flatters your decolletage and brings attention to your neck and shoulders nicely.

I think both dresses have fit issues. The first one in the back and thr second one in general. Neither flatters your figure much in their current condition. So maybe take them to a seamstress and then go with the one that she deems will be the easiest to alter?

Flattering schmattering. Which one do you feel good in? Which one makes you happy? That’s the one!

P.S. Wide is not a feeling, nor is there anything wrong with being wide. Smaller does not equal better.

You can wear a belt or sash.  To give your waist definition.   You look beautiful.
