Went dress shopping today and fell in love with two dresses. The first Romona keveza was my mom’s favorite, while the Carolina Herrera felt like “the one” when I had it on, but looking at photos I’m no longer sure.
1) romona keveza

2) Carolina herrera

I love lace, but the Carolina Herrera is to die for. So beautiful!! It is simple yet stunning and I can’t explain it. I also love Carolina Herrera’s designs in general though as well.

raspberrybidet : OMG number 1, no contest. Listen to your mama!
What is up with that weird fabric thing on the back of number 2? Reminds me of a kimono…not in a flattering way.
But even if that thing were gone, I still think number 1 looks way better on you. But, y’know, you have a great figure so you will probably look pretty nice in most dresses.

Number one hands down! No contest! It flatters you from head to toe and the dress is stunning while still being simple. The second one is whatever even without that weird flap thing in the back.

#2 all the way, so calssic and clean. The bustlie lace on #1 is asymetrical and bugging me, if you want lace I bet you could find something more wonderful.

Oh jeez!! I actually like your post because they’re 2 completely different dresses. I love the illusion neckline and sleeves on first one but that 2nd is also gorgeous!! Pick the one that speaks to YOU.

I like the first dress – it seems special – as if you were going to wear it for an “ocassion.” the second dress was too plain, and man, could it use a steam. I’d also pass because of the bad butt bow.

Argh the original post had a poll, but it disappeared. To clarify about the back of the romona keveza, it is fresh off the runway and sized for the model, so it is not zipped shut… She put some white fabric over my undies so I didn’t flash everyone. ;-p
i love the bow on the back of the Carolina Herrera but get that it’s not to everyone’s taste. The lighting was unfortunately terrible in the Carolina Herrera salon, but here are a couple other angles for the back bow.

O.M.G. seriously gorgeous, I have no idea how you can pick. They’re both stunning. Two of my fave designers if I had the budget, and you look amazing in both.
Sorry, absolutely no help here, just wanted to gush over the pretty!

raspberrybidet : The new photos make it look even worse — that bow is odd, to say the least, and detracts from an otherwise elegant dress… Unless you are of Japanese heritage? Going for the obi look? This is all I can see…
Imo the first one looks much better on you but perhaps there’s a third option, something equally as flattering as dress number 1 but with the simplicity of dress number 2? Sans obi, perhaps? (;
