In round one, I narrowed down my dress search to a dress that would cost twice my dress budget if I were to order it from the bridal shop. I am looking online for it used, but there’s no guarantee I will find it (I keep finding wishy-washy or suspicious sellers) Sooooo… I went for another round of dress trying-on to see what I could find more strictly in my budget. Which one of these is best on me?
Round 2 includes:
A. Allure 8815 w/ ruching & rufffles & corset back – this dress is waaaay too big for me, so I’d have to order four sizes smaller and then the corset will fit right and give me more curve
B. Jasmine T192 with beading and button back – this dress is my size! And, it is a sample sale, so I could go buy it and bring it home tomorrow! It needs a few fizes on the beading and light cleaning, and maybe some alterations in the waist.
Each of these dresses cash in under $1000!!! So, they are approved for the budget!! I will go ahead and post the out-of-budget favorite ($2000) that won #1 in my last poll so you can see what these more budget friendly gals are competing against… please comment!!

So, here’s the out-of-budget top choice… like I said, this one would cost around $2000 by the time it went down the isle (unless i could buy it used online)
Any other recommendations than these?

the sample jasmine and the out of budget jasmine look almost exactly the same. if that’s your dream dress, go for the sample jasmine! it looks great on you!

I honestly had to do a double take on dress B and your out of budget dress to make sure they were not the same dress.
Go for the second one, its amazing on you!!!

I agree! The sample looks so much like the out of budget and looks sooo pretty on you! The stress of buying an out of budget dress isn’t worth it in this case!

I definitely thought it was the same dress. So if thats the dream then go for the sample for sure.

I have to say…I like the Allure better. It’s a softer look. But if your heart is set on the Jasmine and your wallet disagrees, I think the Jasmine sample looks pretty darn close to the other one!

Interesting that the Allure is winning!! I didn’t try THIS Allure in round one… it’s brand new for 2011 and it wasn’t in the store before. The Allure (8700, the convertible one) I tried on before got voted down hard in my other poll. I was a bit disappointed because I want something fun, but when I tried on other dresses I could see that it really didn’t do me justice. And so in that round, the Jasmine won.
But I’m not sure if the Jasmine is my dream dress because I keep gravitating back toward having something a bit fun, and this new Allure with ruffles seems…I don’t know, I want to call it “happy” compared to the Jasmine which feels “serious.” No doubt, the Jasmine gives me that poppin super-model look, but I think I can get a bit of that from the Allure?
I’m so torn! Is this normal to be spinning around in circles about this decision? I am to the point I just want to close my eyes and point (like pin the tail on the donkey, lol!)

I LOVE the allure…its soft and flowy and so romantic. That is definately my top choice!

#1, hands down! (in my book) I personally am just not a fan of the “vertical lines” the other dress has. Your figure looks great in both though!

LOVE the ruffles one! You look amazing… When you walk down the aisle people are gonna say….WOW!

a bride should choose what she likes! Don’t let the vote of strangers make your decision for you! But If you need help deciding what YOU like, I can tell you you used some exclamation points in your description of the Jasmine T192, so it initially seemed you liked that one more (which might be why many of us commented about how similar it was to the out of budget) But you might’ve only appeared more enthusiastice about it because it was in your size and ready to take home. You got really excited when people voted for the Allure which shows you’re rooting for that one! And you can certainly look like a super model in the allure…especially when it’s in your size!
They’re seriously all STUNNING so no stress! You can’t go wrong. Just make sure not to give us too much deciding power 🙂

And you’re definitely smiling in the Allure dress 🙂

I love the Allure on you! I find it SO flattering on you, probably even moreso than the dress that won in round 1! Good luck on your dress search, it seems like you’re getting close! And it’s always doubly exciting when you find something that doesn’t break your budget!

I think the second dress looks much better on you. I think it makes your waist look fantastic. They are both lovely though 🙂
