I was pretty set on Sabelle but today I saw Private Label 1383 for the first time and they are very similar. Help me!
Dress #1: Maggie Sottero Sabelle

Dress #2: Private Label by G 1383
(unfortunately the sample they had was the red that’s on their website, but they had an ivory someone ordered in the salon, I’ll show you other people in the ivory)

One of the differences between the dresses is the brocade (?? the scrolly pattern on the lace) of the PL is in silver vs ivory in the Sabelle so it’s darker. Another is the lace goes all the way on the front in the PL. And the train is very different.. the flowers on the PL may be a bit much but I can probably remove some. The PL is lighter but the taffeta is “crinklier”.

@LOLgirl: I like the Private Label because you can see more of the lace on the front of the dress. I also think the train on dress #2 has more drama to it.

@LOLgirl: It’s a close call but I think the Sabelle. I prefer the PL in red.

I voted for the Sabelle. Not a fan of the roses on the back layers of the PL

@LOLgirl: both look great on you but I prefer the first one. I like how less of the lace is showing at the front:))

I definitely prefer the Maggie. However, another bee, who wore the Sabelle, told me just this evening that her dress weighed 53 lbs! I think the dress is gorgeous, but I’m not sure I would want to lug around that much extra weight.

Sorry to be honest but I really don’t like the style of either. Your figure is to die for but it’s swamped in these meringue-style wedding dresses. Have you thought of a beautiful mermaid style? I think you should keep looking….

@Brielle: 53 lbs? That doesn’t make much sense.. I’ve heard closer to 12. I wouldn’t be able to stand if it was half my weight! I did discuss with the seamstress taking out some layers and shortening the train to make it lighter.
@Aalia: Thanks for the honesty but I really like the poofier dresses. I think I’m too short for the mermaid and whenever I tried them on I just didn’t feel right.

@LOLgirl: Wow, they both look phenomenal on you! I was looking at the pics for about 5 minutes, trying to see what I don’t like about either one of them! So hard to decide! The only thing I can come up with is that I prefer the neckline on the second dress.

@MiJeS1104: I didn’t say in my original post that I planned on making the Sabelle a little more sweetheart.

Anymore reasonings behind your decision?
