After much ado I have two beautiful wedding dresses in my closet. My 50 guest, little southern chapel wedding is 3 months away. I just can’t choose which one looks best. My mom has passed away and I keep thinking she could have really helped with this decision!
My best friend is in Hawaii and I made a video for her to see what I look like in both dresses. I also would like some other opinions.
If you have a few minutes, please watch the video and tell me what you think. Also, what about the black sash?
Just to give you a feel for our wedding: The ceremony is in a rustic, 50 seater chapel with a pretty red door see pic below), on a pond, surrounded by oak trees. It will be at sunset. I am 31, he is 33, we are having a simple reception with a solo singer/guitarist, wine, tapas, and lots of DIY decor (paper pom poms, christmas lights etc). I am making our a three tiered coconut cake and we will have sparklers instead of rice.
Thanks so very much!

I love the second dress!! It screams Southern Wedding to me ;]

Definitly think the tiering on the 2nd dress goes with the theme!

I LOVE #2!! but I am not a huge fan of the black sash, sorry :/…

I’d go with the 2nd dress. It is beautiful, elegant, timeless and looks really great on you. I like the sash on it too, with the bow tied in the front..:)

I’m so sorry about your mom. I can’t imagine how rough it is not to have her with you.
Have you been doing all your gown shopping alone?
Both dresses look really good on you, but I really like the tatiana dress with the black bow. It looks fabulous and I think that it matches your venue (which is GORGEOUS, btw) and the feel that you’ve described above for your reception.
I watched the video and honestly, you had a different look on your face when you tried the Tatiana on…you had the whole “swinging the skirt so it swirls” thing going on, which I think is a good sign. I think that it’s the one! 🙂

I love the first dress. It is beautiful! But I’d do without the black sash. The second one is really nice too, I just prefer the first one. In the video you said it was less formal but it seems more formal to me! Good luck deciding!

I liked the second one muich better before I even saw it on you, especially for your wedding. Once I saw it on you in the video I was 100% positive you should pick that over the Mikaella!

From the model pictures I would go with number two…but after watching the video I’m not sure. You got some amazing deals though! geez. I hope I am that lucky. I think you can’t go wrong with either, but I prefer both without the black sash.

I totally love the first one! It’s gorgeous and has such clean lines. Very chic.

You are too cute first off!
And you really can’t go wrong either way – they are both gorgeous and Look fantastic on you!!!!!
However, I think YOU have subconsciously chosen the Tatianna – you lit up when you had her on and you had more bounce in your step!
I LOVE the black sash on Tatianna especially when you put it in the front!
Keep us posted on which one you choose!

The second dress looks like it belongs better in your venue…

@ArwenBride: I have been doing my shopping alone. My bridesmaids all have difficult schedules and my last few months have had 100 hour work weeks. I have been doing all of my shopping online. The Tatiana is an online find from David’s. I have ordered several gowns online from them, tried them on and returned them for a full refund. They really are great for quick ship gowns that have very little size variation.

I love the first dress, but they are both beautiful. The second dress is more Southern though if that’s the theme you want. I do think either dress would look great in your Chapel. Which looks amazing too. I love places like that gives it such an intimate feel. Good luck and congrats

I love the second dress and what a cute little chapel. I love the idea of an intimate gathering with a lot of DIY details. Very cool!
P.S. I am sorry about your Mom. I am sure she’s having a great time looking down and watching her little girl try on dresses that make her look like a princess. 🙂
