#1-You “don’t think you really love it” and #2-“you love it so much”….I think you answered your own question. When you read the posts saying they liked #1 better or didn’t like #2 did you feel relieved that you made the right decision or disappointed they didn’t like #2 as much as you did….or just add to the confusion? 🙂 There is always the pressure of “will people like my dress?”, but at the end of the day it really is a great feeling to LOVE your dress…you’re more comfortable and confident. #1 is sweet and romantic, #2 is an elegant show stopper that a lot of people couldn’t pull off (but you obviously can very well). If you can, sleep on it for a day or two…if not, go with your heart.

I plan on sleeping on it until next weekend. Wedding isnt until June so I have some time… See, I think they are both romantic…number 1 is a bit more blingy with allll the beading and sequiny stuff and number 2 is a lot more simple in the bodice. I am disappointed that the ladies dont like number 2 as much just because ive seen some other really funky dresses on girls from the site and they have gotten great reactions. I know its a little different, but for some reason it intriques me…but yes, all in all, i am extremely confused 🙁 And of course another concern is trying to sell the first dress if i do go with the other one….::sigh::

I think it would be easy to sell the first one since it is so classic.
And the second one takes a certain taste to appreciate it’s awesomeness 😀 😀
By the way who makes the second one???

The 2nd one is a Sottero and Midgley

I think there is a general bias towards the dress someone already owns. We subconsciously assume that people are second-guessing their choice and try to affirm it. But from what you are saying here, I’m definitely liking the second one better. The first one is really beautiful and I don’t think you’d be making a mistake by keeping it (although I agree with your other post where it might look better with a soft sweetheart neckline), but the second one is just more awesome. 😉 It looks great on you, and it’s really unique.

I very much prefer the first one over the 2nd one, it is so beautiful and dainty, while the 2nd one feels overdone and too much of a dress, if you know what I mean…And since you already bought the first one, why torture yourself with this other dress? You look so pretty in the first one too!

I prefer the first dress but that is me. Have you asked your friends/family what they think? Maybe knowing you they could give you a better opinion. Really it is all about what makes you happy. I think it’s smart not to rush to change your mind & that you are sleeping on it. Once you do make sure you post again saying which one you picked with pictures of you in it and then enjoy all the compliments, it will help make you feel reassured & you look good in both so you’re golden!

Although I agree with everyone that the first dress is timeless and elegant (and less of a chance you’ll look back in 20 years at pics and think they’re dated), based on your reactions to the second dress, and as each person picks #1, you give them a reason to lean towards #2, it tells me that your heart is with #2. Go with your heart!! Will you dream about that dress, think of it often throughout the day and generally be sad thinking you made a mistake if you don’t buy it? Well, go with your gut!
I will say…I was dress shopping last week and my companion said it’s just like finding the right man..look long and hard, go with your heart and don’t second guess yourself. Amen!
Good luck and let us know what you decide!

I like the first one much better! It’s very elegant and classy looking and you look beautiful in it! Good luck with your choice!

If you love #1 and you already own it… well, that would be the practical choice.
Personally, I prefer #1 on you because it seems to be more flattering in the torso and bust area.
Now, if you feel more beautiful, more bridal in #2, you should definitely go with #2. I believe that the bride should feel like a bride, whatever that takes.

I think #2 looks really great on you because it shows your shape better and you look really happy with it on.

One of the common themes i notice going on here though, as marigold said, was that you ladies are saying you pick one since i already paid for it. Cost is not an option, plese do not take this into consideration when deciding! I just want an opinion on wihch one looks better on me…thanks!

They’re both pretty, but honestly, I think I prefer the first one. I think it looks beautiful on you and has a very classic, romantic feel. I think it’s super flattering and gorgeous.

I think the second one looks better on you. It accentuates you better! The first one looks kind of…boring?

I have decided to stick with dress number 1. Rather than spending the extra money for a new dress, I am going to make dress number 1 a sweetheart neckline and buy the 200 dollar veil from DB that I want 🙂
