I know I said I was done with dress posts. I already own both of these dresses.
Neither has been altered yet. The second would need cleaned AND altered.
Dress 1/David’s Bridal: (No belt!!) Soft, sweet, gorgeous train, sub-par lace quality.
Dress 2/Allure Couture: Spunky, fun, gorgeous lace and detailing, great quality, no train.

Im a sucker for a good train…

Gosh I am really loving dress 2 but when you said it had no train that was kinda a deal breaker for me bc I just adore trains and wish it had one! I have to go with dress #1…it’s beautiful on you and I love the train on it. I wish I could combine the front of dress 2 with the back of dress #1! I know I am not much help!

Ah! You girls are killing me. I’m so torn :/ The quality of the second is amazing, but the train on the first? Oh my gosh!
@weddingbound: lol, I would LOVE to combine the two. Ahh, if only.

How about dress 2 with a cathedral veil to make up for the short train?
@OnceUponATime: Ok this is how I see it….No one is going to be looking at the quality trust me….when you are all dolled up they are never gonna now about the quality! They are just gonna see a gorgeous bride!
Never in your life again will you get to wear a dress with a train…..I say go for the first dress! You can’t go wrong….it’s flattering on you, classic and timeless!

I can’t get over the train either, so I voted #1, but no train=no bustle to deal with, so that might be something to think about

I love dress 2
Its more my style I’m just not loving dress 1

Dress #1 looks beautiful on you! I personally fell in love with this dress myself, so maybe I am bias!I know personally it fits like a glove and makes you feel beautiful.

@OnceUponATime: Since you own both…. I dig the sparkly sweetheart neckline of the allure! But it does look like it could be fitted to you better.

There’s just something about dress #1 I love! I agree with a PP, no one will really notice the quality of the dress, you’re going to look gorgeous!!! Also, the fact that the first doesn’t really need alterations would sell me.

@weddingbound: So you realllly think they won’t notice? I’m thinking the same thing you are. I will never again wear a train. When I went to my senior prom, I wanted a sleek sexy look, but last minute chose the classic ballgown. I don’t want to regret it again!
@MeiFrancis: It’s funny. When I first started shopping, I swore to myself I would not have a train or I would just cut it off. When I found the first dress it made me change my mind. I just fell in love with it. So it made me laugh when I found the second dress and it did not have a train.
@howtobeawife: That dress does not fit quite right. The girl who wore it before Amy had a much larger bust so that would definitely need altered. I was actually thinking about taking away the sparkle from the top. I loved it at first, but now I am wondering, is it too much?
@aliciarose220: Are you adding a sash or anything to yours? What about crinoline underneath?? I bet you look gorgeous!

If the first had a deeper v neck it would make a huge difference.

@JrzyGurl: That can certainly be done! I have seen this dress with a sweetheart neckline, and I am not sure I liked it as much. What do you think?
