FYI I am pregnant and will be 6.5 months pregnant when we get married in May. 🙂 We are having an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception at the same venue. My colors are red, black, and white.
I bought this dress at the store, because it fit well and was the best option of all the dresses I had tried on:
Then right after I bought it I tried on this red dress on a whim, because red has always been my favorite color, and I don’t like white, and I was complaining about having to put my bridesmaids in my favorite color and wear a plain color, so my mom was like, “You should try it on and see.” The salesladies, store owner and my mom and sister all said I look best in the red dress because I was “sassy” and “confident.” But it’s RED lol. However, I feel great in the dress. Due to all my physical changes during pregnancy I was feeling rather blob-ish but in this dress I felt amazing:
(I would probably nix the strap).
Also– the store is graciously holding both dresses for me until I make up my little mind.

The red is fabulous. What really sold me was your description of how you feel about the red vs. the white. You sound like you really want to wear that red, and I can see why!
Plus, your body language is far more confident and happy in the red than in the white (where you just look uncomfortable).
And congrats on the baby (you don’t even look pregnant, Ms. Tiny Waist)

You love the red dress. Go with the red dress. While it may be a wedding, it’s YOUR wedding and you can wear whatever you want 🙂 I think both are beautiful dresses but I can definitely tell your heart is set on the red dress. Your FH will love the dress because it reflects who YOU are.
Congratulations on your engagement! And for the little bub 🙂

I vote red! Feeling fabulous is WAY more important that traditions. You can tell you feel amazing in it!

I do!! Ha ha. But I have some qualms because I assumed I’d wear a white wedding dress since it’s my wedding, and I guess I worry what other people will think, to some extent, although funny enough, I’ve never cared much about other peoples’ opinions, so why start now?! It’s just such a different idea that I hesitate to pull the trigger but I need to decide soon.

Oops, my response was to MlleFab. but I got several others before I finished posting it. Thanks ladies!
Luckily my fiance doesn’t care what I wear, or, to be more accurate, he would likely prefer the red ha ha. I told him I was having a hard time deciding between two dresses and he asked what the issue was. To keep it vague I said “One is traditional and one is not,” and he said, “Well that’s easy, go for the non-traditional dress. You and I have never been traditional and I don’t want to have a traditional wedding.” So I don’t have to worry there LOL.

@SWwed: I’d go with red if that’s what you feel best in! It’s your wedding, do what you want 🙂

I think both look great! I am not a fine of white either, but I am wearing a white dress. My fiance has been looking forward to me in a white dress since the day we met. I put my brides maids in my favorite color which is orange. But, if your fiance would like the red… which looking at that picture of you in it… how could he not? Go for it!

Your wedding is the ONE day where you should be able to get what you want! It’s apparent you love that red dress. I say go for it!! 🙂

@SWwed: People will talk regardless, and those kind of people will have something to say no matter what, so why go against what you really want to try and please the naysayers.
White dress –> “How dare she wear white, she’s pregnant?!”
Red dress –> “Ugh, she’s wearing trampy red, that Hester Prynne!”
BUT guess what? These people don’t matter because as long as you feel beautiful, you will look beautiful. And honey, you are radiating beauty in that second photo.
Also, if anyone dares say something like that to you or about you at your wedding, you should appoint someone to punch each and every one of them in the throat!

I loved a red dress for my first wedding but I pussyed out and went with an ivory copy and regretted it because everyone said the red dress was amazing (they were identical except for the color.) Do the red dress!

I like them both, but I agree, you look much happier and sassier in the red! It might be fun to add a poll 🙂

LOVE THIS. Red it is! 🙂 You look amazing, and I love non-traditional! 😀

Congratulations on your pregnancy 🙂
Go red for sure, you must feel fabulous on your wedding day and if thats the dress that makes you feel that way, it’s the one!

Aww thanks everyone. 🙂 That’s funny about punching people ha ha.
I’m so happy to be getting married and also to be pregnant… we lost our first to a miscarriage but now I’m at 22 weeks and feel lucky that our baby girl will be “in” our wedding pics, aka in my belly lol.
I added a poll for fun based on the suggestion above. 🙂
