I picked a dress at David’s that I liked alot but I wasnt in love. I got talked into it and I bought it because you only wear it once for a few hours. I got home and looked at the pictures and hated it. So I decided to sell it and get a used designer dress that I think I would like better since after its over all you have is memories and pictures. Would you stick with the new dress that is paid for or sell the new one and wear a used dress that you think that you like better?

I love them both.
I would stick with the first one because it is paid for and also, I don’t care for pick up. If I wore a dress with pick ups, I would be playing with the pick ups the entire time I would be wearing the dress.

I’d stick with the paid-for one, too.

One thing to remember is that it is very hard to sell a wedding dress. Even if it has never been worn, you’d be lucky to get half of what you paid for it.

I would go with the one you love. You don’t want to feel self-conscious in your wedding dress and regret anything later.
That being said, have you tried on the Maggie yet? Maybe you won’t love it as much you do in the stock photo.

i second meliss, you should buy the dress you like and want if you can afford it, or else you’d regret it even after your wedding date.

I have not tried it on the Maggie. That being said I’m one of those weird people who loves the dress in the store and hates it in the pictures. I tried on at least 2 other dresses I thought might be the “one” until I came home and seen the picture. The one I thought was too much on me I loved it in picture and wondered why I almost picked a frumpy dress. (and wondered why the people shopping with me would let me pick a frumpy one, that’s a different post lol)
I probably should have looked at the pictures of the David’s bridal dress before I bought it. But everyone kept saying how beautiful it was so decided to buy it… And I think it looks frumpy =/

Hi date twin!
I don’t think the dress you brought looks frumpy. I think both dresses are beautiful!

As a 2 dress bride with a Maggie (hopefully) and a David’s Bridal dress, I think you should go with the Maggie. Part of the reason why I LOVE Maggie dresses are because of the fit, and part of the reason why I am not in love with my David’s dress is because it just doesn’t look/fit right. Even before alterations, and even being the wrong size, the Maggie just looked and fit better. Part of the dress looking great is the fit. I’d totally go with the Maggie 🙂
Having said that, the David’s dress is very pretty!!! I think it also depends on what type of waist looks best on you. Good luck!

I, myself, am a Maggie bride…if you are absolutely not happy with your dress…and its within your budget…I say buy the dress you want…I would advise, however, that you should try on the Maggie dresses just to make sure you love it before buying… also depending the dress a used one can cost anywhere from 500 to 800…and you would have to take into consideration whether they have altered it in any way.
In any event, I think your dress is gorgeous!!!!I actually tried on the dress you bought…it is definately very nice! When trying it on I took the sleeves off and made it a strapless dress. It looks good either way.

I actually like the David’s dress WAY more than the Maggie, so I think you should keep it.

I think you should try on both dresses take pictures and compair.

I think the David’s dress is pretty, and I’m not a big fan of all the pickups and bling on the Maggie you posted. However, if you can afford it you should get the dress that you are going to love. You want to look at all your wedding photos and think how great you look. Designer dresses often fit better – my Christos dress definitely was more flattering than the other dresses I tried on.

I would stick with the first one, I am not a fan of pick-ups, but the first one is more classic

I would reserve your final decision until after you have tried on the Maggie. After that, I totally agree with Meliss, i.e., that you should wear what makes you the most happy and feel the most beautiful.
