I love their protini cream and I have dry skin. I don’t use Estée Lauder however so I can’t comment on how it wears with their foundation. But it is great with the makeup I do use.

The lala retro whipped is my all time favorite moisturizer.

I don’t notice any drawbacks. I apply it in the morning and at night. Not greasy or too heavy or anything for me personally. The scent is a little strange but that might just be my personal opinion.

I have dry skin and I have both; if I had to choose one I’d say the Protini. For me it is as hydrating as the Lala, but doesn’t feel as heavy. No difficulties with either under make up.

I love the lala retro! I splurge on it every now and again! It’s so hydrating and feels amazing!! Haven’t tried protini though so can’t compare

I love the protini but as one of my favorite skincare YouTubers has said, think of it less like a moisturizer and more like another plumping serum in your kit. That being said, I have dry skin and I do find that for day, it completley works as a moisturizer. I do layer a lot of products, including a moisturizing oil, so this may also factor in – but given you’re normal-to-dry, I think it’d be fine for you.

Truth be told, I’m not a huge fan of LaLa Retro – it doesn’t feel hydrating enough for my skin (Sephora’s own skincare line also put out a moisturizer that’s a near dupe for it, if you’re looking for something a little less pricey). For a really wonderful moisturizer for dry skin, I’d recommend Belif Moisturizing Bomb.

Just bought my second jar of Protini. I have normal to dry skin, drier in the winter and this helps a lot. I use it as a “treatment” in my routine every third day. So I use cleanser, toner, treatment (alternates between retin a, AHA and protini), hyaluronic acid, moisturizer. I ran out for a couple of weeks and definitely noticed a difference without it.
