I first, and only, wanted a new wedding band to go with the first e-ring, but I failed for about a year to find one that looked good with it or matched(the fillagree kinda ruined that). The jeweler that made it said they could make one, but I didn’t want to pay and then not like it and all that. So, this summer, my mom, sister, and I went to the Cayman Islands, and on a shopping trip I found the second set and got it for almost half the price(the discount was an incentive with the resort we stayed at). They put the original diamond on the second set(crooked might I add) and I brought it home, and that is now the set I wear. My problem is that I miss the vintage look. I miss having diamonds on the side(the side of the second set is just bland and nothing unique). I like the thickness of the two bands together tho and I definitely love how blinging it is. I’ve also fallen in love with halos, but I like high cathedral settings like the first e-ring. I’m considering taking it all and making one whole new set. Either way, I have the bands from the first set still, just sitting there. If I get something new made, I’ll be using everything, the old rings and new ones.
What do ya’ll think? And if you have a halo on a high cathedral setting let me see it please! Thanks ladies!

I like the first set because it’s not so wide, but if you love the bling, it’s a no brainer! Depends on your style, really!

The flashiness wasn’t what I was aiming for, but hey, for the price I paid for the 2nd set, it was a solid deal! I’m trying to figure out how to incorporate a cathedral setting with a halo too. I just haven’t found many rings that have the diamond sitting much higher than the halo. Definitely haven’t found many that have that and still have a vintage feel to the band.

I like the first set, the filagree on the e-ring looks gorgeous and the wedding band makes its presence known but does not compete with the e-ring for the eye’s attention.

What if you took the diamond and got it get in a new setting and used the second set’s band as a right hand ring? Or you could use it as your band when you choose not to wear your ering or wedding band… for a little more bling.
Look at Moissanite and Co online and search cathedral. They have a ton of cathedral settings that could be duplicated with real dimaonds if you didn’t want Moissy.
Hope this helps 🙂

@HisAngel: So I looked at the website and found a few I like. This one is really nice, it still has the filagree so it looks vintage. I could tweak the design a little bit too. With all the small diamonds I have I could probably do two rows channeled instead of one to make the bands a little wider. Still couldn’t find a halo setting I liked enough tho. I’m thinking about combining two different rings(one vintage and one halo) to make one. Hopefully my jeweler doesn’t kill me, lol.
