I need some advice!
My boyfriend has decided he would like to propose and wants some idea on engagement rings – Very pleased as it means i get the ring i want!
However, i’m completely torn between having a brillant cut solitare ring or a brilliant cut ring with a centre stone and diamond band.
I’ve already decided i want a diamond band wedding ring but dont know if two diamond set bands will be too much next to eachother?
Can i see your engagement ring pix for some inspiration!?
Thanks in advance

Here is my Round Brilliant Diamond with Diamond band. I absolutely love it :). I’m sure whatever you choose will be beautiful.

Bee- go to a jewelry store without you SO and tried in a bunch of rings. I too was torn between many different styles and I am so glad I went alone bc I got to try everything on and pick what truly made my heart happy Without SO to unintent persuade me into something I didnt truly love. I only say that because he originally had suggested I go with a solitaire (that’s what my and his mom have) and if I hadnt gone alone I prob would have tried to convince myself of what SO liked too. But he always kept telling me: it’s what my heart wants. I ended up choosing the pave band bc the solitaire (although classic and beautiful) just didn’t make me excited like a pave band did.

It’s really up to you and your tastes.. I don’t have a ring yet, but I think I’ve decided that having both rings diamond bands will be a little too blingy for me.. So I’m going to go with a solitaire ering and a diamond wedding band…
But honestly, it’s completely up to you and your tastes! Both as diamond bands do look incredibly gorgeous, so you can’t go wrong either way 😉

I don’t have a band yet, but IMO though I love diamond band on e-ring and wedding bands, I’d be nervous to lose stones! So I just got a plain knife edge RB solitaire 🙂 I just love how it shines and twinkles!!

I agree with trying rings on first! I was convinced that I wanted a cushion cut with baguette sides- then I tried on a plain ol’ solitaire and fell in love. My wedding band arrived a couple of weeks ago – I added sapphires to the diamonds for a pop of color and to make it slightly less traditional.

It’s all personal taste. I’m about symmetry. If I had a plain e ring band I would need a plain wedding band. If I had a diamond e-ring band I would need a matching (same size, shape, color) band. Some people love having it different. Only you will know what you like.

Wow these rings are making me drool heavily! 😱

I agree with what others have said about trying on rings. I had a few different designers I liked while looking online and when I tried them on, found that Verragio, for example, did not look good on my hand (while I still think they are beautiful).
Here is my set. The e-ring is Tacori. I decided against the matching wedding band because it was too “matchy.” (And also waaaaaay too much money.)

I loooooove having a pave band! It just make the ring sparklier in my opinion! I don’t have my wedding band yet but I plan on getting some sort of eternity band, so it will also have diamonds. Everything will be extra sparkly, which is never a bad thing! Haha
Oh, btw, my diamond is a GIA triple excellent VVS1 H round brilliant solitare!
