Were you thinking of rock candy on a stick?

@Tswife4ever: Thanks!  I love that idea too!  I feel like it’s very personal, and unique!

You could do some of each (cookies and candy) and let your guests pick if you just REALLY just want to do both! Nothing wrong with that! 🙂

I voted rock candy only because I think you’d be totally stressing on the cookies the night before the wedding!  Otherwise, I would’ve gone for the cookies.

I would either go with the rock candy (more inexpensive and easy on you!) OR freeze the cookies ahead of time. But remember that a lot of guests will forget their favors or leave them behind, so don’t stress about it too much! Guests might not remember the favors, but they will remember how much fun they had 🙂

I would go with the cookies. I love a good cookie any day! I have heard of bee’s that have done this and they froze the cookies ahead of time and then just unthawed them for the wedding.

    I like the cookie idea.

You could do some cookie trials and see how they freeze ahead of time!

Sugar cookies don’t have to be done the night before! You can make the dough months ahead and freeze that, you can even cut the cookies out and then freeze them. You can freeze them after they’re baked (and decorated too, I think!), plus sugar cookies (espcially ones with Royal icing) keep pretty well on their own anyway. However you do it, to save stress I’d probably make cookies one day, and ice on another.

Check out the book Cookie Craft if you haven’t already, it is all about sugar cookies.

I love rock candy! I like that you would give them the recipe for the cookies though…

Rock Candy! Its done and not something you have to worry about!

IMO: The Cookie and Cookie Cutter sounds like what should be done for Christmas or something!

I love cookies, and would rather have a cookie but the work alone would make me go with the rock candy!

The rock candy is a more unique idea.  I think heart cookie cutters would be tossed; no offense.  You would only use them on Valantine’s Day and who has time for that?!  I think the rock candy is a great idea.

I loooooooove rock candy, but agree that the flavor choices are severly limited by your color sceme. Could you maybe throw in a white/clear one for another choice?

The rock candy got my vote! I think it’ll appeal to every and trust me, you don’t need the stress of baking cookies the night before!
