Edible favors tend to go well since nobody is expected to take home anything with someone else’s name and wedding date on it.

I don’t think they are bad but they probably wouldn’t get used by us. We never use shotglasses around the house and our drinking glasses are a matched set.

@jwdesiree:  Haha yeah I guess oysters wouldn’t go over so well!  We did little jam jars for our wedding, but I have seen nice cookies, chocolates, and stuff like that which went over pretty well.

Out of both choices, I would go with the shot glass. I would also look into a personalized koozie especially if you are serving canned or bottled beer. That is the norm at a lot of weddings I have been to. 🙂

@jwdesiree:  I’d find the plastic cup more useful- we have a bunch of shot glasses that have never been used!

I would honestly leave both at the venue. I like glassware, and I don’t do shots. If I wanted a usable for consumption item, little travel sets with like, a case and basic silverware would be well received. Or if you want to stick to barware, a jigger, or mini shaker.

The tumbler WOULD get a pass if you put notched fill lines on the side with instructions on making one of your signature cocktails… But that’s about it…

@jwdesiree:  How about something edible? People do monogram M&M’s or maybe, because you are in Colorado which is known for the Rocky Mountains, you can gift some of those yummy stone or rock-like candies as a favor. So yummy and unique!

I don’t think they’re tacky or that people would judge you, I just don’t need or want a plastic cup or shot glass cluttering up my cabinets.  I’d leave either option there.

jwdesiree:  What did you end up choosing? I think we are going to get the mood stadium cups from 4imprint.. cause I friggen loooove mood cups! and I think what we decided to label two cups with each guests name and then they will use that cup throughout the night and take it home at the end! This way it will be a favor and we will save money on plastic throwaway cups and people will hopefully not waste as many drinks! I am mostly excited for them because they change color though!
