Earlier today I asked what type of favor you would like to receive as a guest. The result was overwhelmingly chocolate over wine favors. Well my mom found a third option! They are tealight lighthouses.
So I gotta ask again…
or Chocolate Seashells

Still the chocolate. Full and complete honesty..I wouldn’t even take the lighthouse home with me.

chocolates, would trash the lighthouse once I got home

Yeah… I mean what are people going to do with that little lighthouse thing? Just pretend you’re at a friend’s wedding and think about what YOU’D want to have. People don’t need useless trinkets. They’re a waste of money and get either left behind or trashed later, or kept only out of guilt. My fiance and I are considering no favors at all. If we do favors, they’ll definitely be edible. But they seem to be a large expense for basically nothing =

@yanamari: we didn’t do favors, thought is was just a waste of money.

Definitely the chocolate. Even though the tealight lighthouses are nice, I’m not sure this is something I would want to bring back home after a wedding.
Good luck deciding ! 🙂

I think the chocolate seashells are adorable, and will be much more appreciated. The tealights are cute too, but not very practical.

Chocolates. Lighthouses are cute enough as a decoration, but I feel you need a group of them to actually decorate with.

I feel like I’m the only one who does NOT prefer edible favors…especially generic chocolate. Even when I’ve taken a bag from a candy bar, it usually gets forgotten in my car! The candle holders are super cute and actually practical.

I still love the chocolates! 🙂

Can I have both? I would LOVE the tealight houses, so cute and they would fit nicely as a decor item in my home. I love take away favors I can actually KEEP. I am the odd one out who actually likes favors…and while I like the chocolates (and would probably store them in my freezer as a keepsake), I like actual keepsakes to remember an event by,

I wouldn’t take the light home, but I would try the chocolate to see if it’s actually good. I’m very picky with chocolate and if it’s cheap and overly sweet, I don’t eat it! So if you choose chocolate, make sure it’s delicious!

Definitely go with the edible option. That way, people can just eat their favors even if they don’t make it home with them!

Wait, you had a poll where chocolate won out over wine? That is absurd! Those lighthouse things are cute, but they really wouldn’t go with my decorating style, I don’t do knick knacks, so I would much prefer chocolate. But hey if the wine is still an option I would prefer that.

@drummerbride: It was wine charms I think in little nautical themed shapes
OP I think your light houses are cute, but any decor item assumes it will go with the decor people already have. I would leave that since it doesn’t go with mine, although there is a chance I might take it home for outside use on my deck….Chocolate will probably get better use!
