The manufacturer I purchased my gown from has an offer for a free veil with dress purchase, and I need some help choosing a veil. 🙂 I *think* I want a longer, chapel length veil because I love the light and airy feeling of a long veil, but would the waist length veil is really pretty too.
Here I am in my dress with the belt I will be wearing:
And another one with my hair down with a different belt:
And here are the veils I have to choose from:
Veil #1: Chapel length Lace Mantilla Veil. I love lacy mantilla veils, but feel like this one might not coordinate well with my dress.
Veil# 2: Chapel length Fountain Veil with pleated tulle ruffle trim. If I went with this veil I would probably remove the ruffle trim and leave the edge raw instead.
Veil #3: Waist length Drop veil with re-embroidered Chantilly lace trim
Thanks in advance! 🙂

you look amazing! I love the dress!!! I think the veils are too much.. I think a simple veil would look amazing

I voted option 2 for a few reasons. 1. I like long veils much better than short veils and I think it would look great with your dress. 2. I don’t think a lace veil will look good with your dress. Lace is more vintage looking, and your dress has a more modern feel. I think the raw edge of the 2nd veil (which you said you will do) will coordinate much better!

@star_dust: +1. Well said! 🙂

I think your dress has SO much going on that you should choose a veil without embellishments. They will only compete with the dress! Love the chapel length without the ruffle.

I think anything except a raw edge veil would take away from how stunning your dress is. My input is to take a more simple route. A veil is supposed to compliment, not overpower 🙂

I absolutely love your dress! I think the three veils you listed are all too busy for your dress- I think they would compete with your dress insead of enhancing it. If I were you, I would consider a sheer veil with a simple trim. Hope that helps!

I think the 2nd one would work best with your dress!

#2! I agree with PP’s who said lace might be a bit much with your beautiful dress!

#2! I think because you’re not wearing lace, it would look funny to then have a lace veil- esp with your skirt being so detailed. And I LOVE #2! If it’s free, might as well get it and if you decide you want something else- get something else! (Then sell the free one!)

which one did you end up wearing? The ruffle on #2 would have looked great with that dress.

#2 no ruffle. I loooooove long veils!
