    The steakhouse gift card seems better for a birthday or anniversary.  I like the idea of the airline gift card for this occasion.

    I like the idea of the steakhouse since it is a splurge they wouldn’t otherwise enjoy on their own. It would be a cute date night type thing for them and a nice experience overall. The only reason why I would pick the airline card would be if there’s a chance they wouldn’t eat at the steakhouse and potentially “waste” the money. But if you are sure they would, then I think it’s a fabulous, fun idea.

    I always think the best gifts are things the person wouldn’t already buy themselves.

    I like the Southwest airlines giftcard but I’d check if the card has an expiration date.  If they do than I’d go with the steakhouse.
