My FSIL’s shower is in Saturday I liked the idea of a cheese/appetizer plate with a set of small knives but I couldn’t decide between the items in the pictures below. Looking for opinions. Also, do you think this gift is enough or should I buy something additional? THANKS!

Did she register for this? I’m picky about my serving pieces and don’t like when people buy me random things that may or may not go with my serveware. Plus, I already had a lot of stuff from when I got my first apartment. For example, Darling Husband and I now have 5 or 6 different cheese plates.
I do really like the glass topped cheese plate though!

@abbie017: You’re right I’d be the same way but she’s not registered so I’m having a really hard time finding a gift! 🙁 I kind of figured with the stone platter it would go with anything. Any other suggestions for gifts? I’d really appreciate it 🙂

@PinkStripes: I think it looks nice! I voted for the one with the dome because she could use it for lots of things.

I think it’s nice. Future Mother-In-Law got a set like this for Christmas and gave it to me because she said she had no use for it and I love it. I like either cheese plate but I think I preffer the first set of knives because there’s more of a variety.

@PinkStripes: I guess an important question is does she like cheese? A lot? I got cheese knives a few years ago and don’t really use them… basically ever and we entertain a LOT.

@springbride23: haha touche
Darling Husband picked out a giant and pretty butcher block cutting board after our shower/wedding. Last week I used it as a meat and cheese board for girls’ night and it worked great. Just a suggestion of something that works double duty! I do love the one with the glass dome, though!

@jpalm13: what about a personalized cheese plate/ small cutting board. Etsy has tons and The couple I gifted one too loved it.
Oh, I used TaylorCraftsEngraved on etsy 😀

@PinkStripes: So cheese knives with the open spaces in the blades are really, really handy. I don’t see any really shown in the pictures you posted. Here’s a picture of what I’m trying to (poorly) describe:

Thanks everyone! I’m pretty sure she likes cheese lol I guess I just figured it was a good gift because every time I go to someone’s house they have a cheese plate and she’s French so I figured it was safe LOL
ToTheRiot I love that idea but the shower is Saturday, I kinda left it to the last minute :S
