I’d appreciate your feedback on this! Have gone for lots of trials with different stylists & it never seems to come out right & i’m beginning to feel like giving up 🙁
The upstyle i’ve shown below is what i was beginning to think i’d just have to go for, but then someone suggested i should wear my hair down & curled & i really liked the idea.
HOWEVER, as our wedding is during winter time I was afraid that if it was very windy (we often have windy weather here), it would start to look messy very easily?
I was also wondering if it’d look too much with everything else? Dress is mermaid style, backless & strapless & I will have a cathedral length, 2 tier veil. Have bought a hairpiece (shown in photos) and delicate chandelier earrings, (also in photos) and also a fur wrap for my shoulders –
What do you all think? Which hairstyle works best? Is there some other style you think I should try?
Here’s the dress front & back, to give you an idea –
Here’s the upstyle I was kind of settling for –
Here’s my hair down, shoved to one side

I don’t know, this ones hard. I’m not a fan of wearing hair down for the bride. However, you have really gorgeous hair. I’d wear it down, lol.

@LD333: Thankyou it is kind of hard to say… i originally assumed i’d wear it up, that an upstyle look more elegant & show of the detail on the back of the dress better….. but, hair down feels a bit “younger” and flirtier or something!

I agree, you have beautiful hair! Wear it down and show it off. I really like it off to the side.

Oh, I LOVE it down and off to the side. Gorgeous. I wanted to wear my hair down (had planned on doing it myself), but it isn’t going to look right with the dress.

Have to agree you have amazing hair! Show it off and wear it down.

Why don’t you do a half up and half down? I’m really not a fan of wearing the hair down, but if you can’t find something that you like, then don’t do it! You have to feel beautiful!!

I’m a fan of half up half down. It will keep it from falling in your face, etc, and look gorgeous with the dress!

I chose updo… your gown dips low at the back which can compliment your hair being up. If I had a figure like yours I’d definitely keep it up.

thanks everyone for the feedback & lovely comments!
Might have another chat with the hair stylist & ask her to do curls & then try everything on again. I think having it to one side kind of keeps it out of the way a bit.
Fi said this evening he prefers it down so i was a swayed yet a bit more in that direction!
All i’d have to do then is get my hair piece put on a band instead of a comb. doh!

Personally, I’m not a fan of hair being up and honestly, I don’t think it looks good on everybody but with your dress, without being able to see your face, I think the updo can work to show off your neckline and the sexy back. I vote for it being up.

I prefer it up. You have great hair, but I always think if an updo is possible it is preferable. Updos are just elegant and formal. That updo is very beautiful, too. It looks a lot like mine did on my wedding day. If it could be a bit neater on the side, it would be even better. Those wispy pieces coming out of the side of the twist look a little messy.

I vote for down and completely to the side. That way you can still show off the back of your dress.

I vote down!
My hair is my thing too and while I was dead set on an updo all my friends and family convinced me that down was better for me and more “me” as well. I really love the down style with curls (last photo) and I think it will be very elegant.
