I’m in the US, and I can tell you honestly I don’t check or question the hand anyone wears their ring on. If you’re wearing a ring on either ring finger, I would assume you are married or engaged until I found out otherwise. If you’re torn, switch off, and wear your ring on both fingers. There’s no rule saying you can’t honor both cultures. The US is a melting pot of cultures, and if you live here, and you’ve confused anyone by your choice of finger, they’re probably confused about a lot more than just wedding rings. Haha.

My husband is Russian and moved here to the US when he was 12. I asked him the same question when we got married. His answer, “I don’t live in Russia, so I want to wear it on my left hand” simple enough answer for me. He honors his culture in many other ways. Just do whatever is comfortable for you.
