I know I’ve posted about it before, and you wonderful bees helped me change the center design on my (100% DIY) invitations to something I truly LOVE instead of just feel “meh” about! Many many thanks! Now I’m trying to perfect the “guts” of my invitations.
Here is the outside I have settled on:
And here’s my *current* inside:
What I worry is that the inside is boring compared to the outside. I don’t want people to think “Wow she put so much effort into the outside! Why didn’t she work that hard on the inside?” What you can’t tell from the pictures is that I didn’t print the invitations, I used my Silhouette Cameo and a ballpoint pen to actually “write” all the text, so it looks like I handwrote them.
Since our colors are navy, blush pink, and varying shades of brown (because of all the wood we have), some of y’all suggested making the pocket navy. I have been crazy busy and haven’t been able to try out a navy pocket yet (no navy cardstock laying around), but when I told Fiance about the change, he seemed really opposed to it. He loves the “neutralness” of the invitation. I like it too, I just worry it seems really boring compared to the outside.
But, because of the advice of some of y’all, I did try using colored font and putting a border. I’m limited in the color of pens I can use, so the color isn’t really a navy, more a dull blue… I’m not sure what I think of either of them… (**Of course if I go with the blue writing, I will change the RSVP and Details cards to be blue**)
Colored font, no border:
Colored font, border: (I tried a double border but it just didn’t fit unless I shrunk the font down, which I don’t want to do.)
