Hi Bees! I’ve been perusing Etsy for invitations, and have saved a whole bunch of options. I’m so curious to hear what you think!
Some info on our wedding… We’re getting married at a country club in July. The bridesmaids are wearing long chiffon gowns, and the groomsmen are wearing black tuxes. Our main colors are lavender with a touch of blush pink.
Okay, vote away! And feel free to be honest… My sister and Maid/Matron of Honor thinks most of these “are too 1970s.” Haha!
1. Heart invitation with lavender stripes.
2. Lavender flower.
3. Cream and purple flowers.

@FutureMrsHarris2014: i would rank those #3, #1, #2. I think they’re nice, not 1970’s at all.

Thank you! I just realized that I left out the 1970s ones…

@FutureMrsHarris2014: I like the last one with wreath and banner best.

@Lizabean: Thanks for your input! I added the last two pictures to the poll! 🙂

I definitely prefer the last one you posted!

1, 4 & 5 are pretty but look a bit to casual for what you described. I like the 2 and 3.

@AlwaysSunny: Thank you… that’s what I’m curious about. I seem to gravitate towards vintage and rustic designs, but I’m not sure they match with our wedding. Thanks for your input!

@FutureMrsHarris2014: I’m personally not a big fan of the floral invites that are super trendy at the moment, they’re not my taste. BUT if you’re having a country chic wedding they are very fitting. I like #3 the best.

@FutureMrsHarris2014: To avoid the dissapointment I experienced, initiate a successful conversation, with the designer, through Etsy messaging, before deciding on a specific invitation.
I contacted two designers, whose invitations I fell in love with TWICE (a month apart) and neither of them responded. It was especially frustrating because one designer had completed my sister’s inviations 8 months before. Luckily two other designers did respond and we chose one of them.

I think #3 is the prettiest and best choice for the overall feel of your wedding (: Personally, I love the floral ones (#4 & #5), but I agree with PPs that they don’t fit a wedding in a more formal setting.

I love the white invitation with floral wreath! 🙂

I love them all. Voted for number two

To me, number 4 & 5 are a bit too girly due to the flowers.
I like the more subtle flowers in #3.
I also like #1 and 2, but don’t think they are all that “wedding-y”.
