Ohhh, very tricky! I voted the top one as asha, the bottom one is diamond, only because the top has that “cloudy” look that CZs can get after a while (or just needs to be cleaned).

Looks like a really included diamond on top and a brand new cz on the bottom to me.

I’m going to go with asha as the bottom one because it would be nicer quality if it actually were a diamond… most of these pics are to show off how nice ashas are, and if the diamond is 2.5 carats at 16k, the specs aren’t great (probably SI, I in color )

@MeiFrancis:  lol I thought she meant set in 16 karat gold. I was like “that’s weirdly specific, but ok…”

@joya_aspera:  haha I sat and thought about what that could mean for a good minute before it occurred to me that it’s probably the price.

Hmm. On second look yes the top could be a diamond with visible inclusions. But for some reason the prongs of the top on seems a bit crooked, so maybe that’s why l am basing the decision (ie more likely to be a sterling silver cz ring).

I wonder what are the carats for both rings?

@LessIsMoore:  Mystery solved! Thanks for posting the pic and I agree with you – diamonds are lovely, but $16,000 is a hefty price tag to pay for ones with visible inclusions.

I do like the look of OEC Ashas. But I think it’s the psychological factor of “It’s just diamond coated CZ!” that’s preventing me from ordering one and having a look in person.

But if those are inclusions in the diamond that is a terrible diamond?? Surely no one in their right mind would pay that much for such poor quality? I guess we’re back to the quality vs quantity debate… But seriously, shops can get away with selling that sort of quality for that sort of price?! I guess they just hope some rich, clueless guy walks in… This reinforces me own view of finding a good online vendor you trust with a good returns policy… Jewellery stores are a rip off!! OK rant over 😉

@LessIsMoore:  your asha sounds beautiful, do you have pics?
