We are approved for both of these houses, and i dont know which to pick! Thoughts?

I think the kitchen looks more open in the first which I’d prefer and there also looks to be a bigger closet in the master.
I agree, the kitchen looks more open in the first (I also like that). Plus, it looks like there’s access to the second bathroom in the first (without having to go through the master bedroom). That could be useful if you have guests and don’t want people trapcing through your bedroom.
Does the kitchen open up to the living room in both floorplans (where it says “raised bar”), or just the first? That would be a deciding factor for me.
2 because I wouldn’t like the bathroom next to the kitchen.
I also chose 2 because the bathroom is away from the kitchen…but I like the larger LR in 1.
I picked 1 because I like the layout of the kitchen, and that the living room is a little bit larger!
#1 – although I would maybe see about moving the fridge to beside the stove and putting an island in 🙂 or having an extra counter jut out from where the fridge currently is. i personally don’t love that the bathroom is accessible via the utility room and would ditch that door, and then turn the sink 90 degrees and add counterspace along that entire wall (yayyyy counterspace!) i would also try to get more windows in the master (on the other outside wall), along with in the dining room and north side of the living room. the one thing i don’t like (and don’t see how to fix) this plan is that there’s no clear entry-way/foyer (assuming living room is where main entrance is), and i don’t see where guests’ shoes and coats would go, assuming you kept yours in the utility room. (although i don’t really see it in floor plan 2 either, given that it’s all doors)
I like #2.
Having to walk through the utility room to get to the master bedroom (layout #1) seems really odd to me. And since there is a second full bathroom, I also wouldn’t want guests to have an accessable entrance to my master bathroom (like there is in #1). I’d want it to be totally separate and accessable only from the master (like in #2).
I don’t like #2 because of the previously stated bathroom issue. But I don’t like #1 because I hate having the front door open right into my living room.
Neither : (
You will hate not having a dedicated entry if you live in snow country. There is no where for coats, boots and gloves. You don’t necessarily need more square footage just a different layout.
I don’t like the idea of the washer and dryer in the master bedroom. So, number 2.
neither. 🙁 having the masterbedroom next to the kitchen is not a good idea. It will always smell like food and be noisy if one person is sleeping and another is cooking.
