I’ve noticed recently how different my ring looks in various types of lighting. Are there any stores or locations that you love looking at your ring in? I’ve noticed my diamond sparkles like CRAZY in Hobby Lobby and also in David’s Bridal where I work. It’s like a little disco ball! I’ve heard that diamonds look better in different types of light, but does the color rating affect that? Mine is a D color. I took a couple pictures in different areas of my apartment that really showed how light affects it. Oh and I HATE my ring muffin top. Can’t wait to have it sized up a quarter size when I take my wedding band in.

My ring sparkles like mad at the grocery store, Costco, and Starbucks. It tends to attract random compliments from strangers on the sparkle in those places. 😀

I love how my ring looks in the light of my office. It’s actually pretty funny, because I work at a college and always have students coming in needing to know information about their account, and apparently they stare at my fingers while I’m typing because I get multiple compliments on my ring a day when I’m at work! It sparkles like crazy there, hahaha.

My ring looks best and sparkles most in recessed lighting. It looks great in Costco, most restaurants, and my work.

My ring looks amazing at my hair salon. I am always telling them that they have jewelry store lighting.

@Cory_loves_this_girl: Ditto.
I especially love it in recessed lighting when I just cleaned the ring. It’s like a mini fireworks show on my finger.

It is most sparkly on an airplane or car and throws little rainbows everywhere.

Christmas lights were nice.
But day to day, it does sparkle under the lights above my office. 🙂

Mine seems to sparkle most in our kitchen, maybe it’s the recessed lighting. It also looks good in natural light especially outside. I actually hate how it looks in jewelry stores. I’m not sure what grade mine is, but next to all those big bright white diamonds it tends to look yellow.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Every type of light. I love my diamond’s different personalities.
However, I find spot/pot lighting like at the jewelers causes it to act up “too much,” so it’s actually my least-preferred lighting. My diamond can look like a dizzying, manic, new years eve party all on my finger in that lighting, which is a bit much. I chose a very high grade cut (HCA less than 2) which is normally absolutely beautiful but there is such a thing as “too blingy” in my opinion, and that lighting causes it in my ring… glad I don’t work at a jeweler’s!
