Ok Bees I need your help!! I’m really not sure about what to do about the red sash I bought to go with my wedding dress. The sash was totally pressure from my mom.
The pictures below are of my dress (not of me but hair and body type is close) and my awesome paint skills! Lol
I have to add the pictures in a reply, sorry. They are in the same order as the poll.
ETA: it’s a very small, fun, winter wedding in the mountains. Both of our second time (both did the formal, white wedding first time around!

@orchidaloha: I voted for only the bouquet and boutonnière to be red. I’d forgo the sash and keep his tie black.

I vote no sash. I think it breaks up the line of the dress. I prefer the black tie, but does your Fiance have a preference since he’ll be the one wearing it?

I vote yellow flowers, black tie & no belt.

I’m not a fan of the red sash on your dress. It’s really distracting!
My choice would be red flowers and boutonnière. I also don’t like the red tie:(

I’m also for the red bouquet and red boutonniere, no red sash. 🙁 If your mom is still really wanting that red sash, I could see the red sash maybe working for the reception?

@Goofball: He said that a black tie looks like he’s going to a funeral, but I think if he’s wearing a red boutinere he might feel differently. He’s pretty laid back so we will see.
@Holly77: That’s how I feel too, I just think that my eyes immediately go to the sash
It was super awkward when I bought the dress. My mom didn’t like it, she liked another one that had a sash, then when I tried mine back on she hated it until the consultant put the sash on it. Now all she can talk about is that damn red sash and how much it stands out. She’s NOT happy that I’m even considering not having it.
@pengoala: I considered wearing it for the reception since I obviously won’t be walking around with my bouquet.
@Soon2BD-CBee: Thanks! The flowers won’t be yellow, they will most likely be white with maybe a few hints of red in there.

@orchidaloha: That would work! 🙂
