I would definetly wear the used one that fits perfectly! Not only are alterations on the new dress going to be rushed and expensive, but it will be so much easier for you to sell a brand new, never altered dress!

It seems like you’d have an easier time reselling the new dress. I think it’d be easier for another bride to alter it to their body, instead of trying to work around the alterations you’ve made. I don’t think that most women would have the same sized dress altered the same way (one has slightly bigger hips, the other a bigger chest, etc.) I didn’t have my dress altered, so I don’t know for sure how it all works, but aren’t there some alterations that can’t be undone? You’d have a harder time selling a dress if that’s true.

Also, I would be very very nervous about trying to have a dress altered over the Christmas holidays. I don’t think I would take that risk.

In My Humble Opinion, I think you’re better off wearing the second dress, and selling the new, unaltered one.
