I’m not a big fan of soup so menus 3-6 don’t appeal to me.

I hate peas and don’t really cauliflower so menu 2 would be very disappointing to me.

    Menu 1 sounds good though!

I am having vegan options at my wedding because some of my guests are vegan. Just curious – why would you not do the same for your non vegetarian guests and have a meat option for them?

i voted for 1 b/c it had the most variety but i actually hate mushrooms.  like pp, the soup made me shy away from 3-6.

As a veggie they are all good!

i like the idea of the mix platter option to start.

If you’re going for the standard ‘meat and veg’ dish that’s served up at most weddings then the pie sounds fab as you can have all the usual trimmings with a good option for a nutritious and tasty meat option (if you see what I’m mean).

We had a full on veggie wedding too 🙂

Honestly nothing on the menu appeals to me besides the starter from menu 1, potatoes and veggies from menu 1, arancini from menu 2 and lasagna from menu 6….but I’m not sure what pulse is supposed to mean. I might have liked the tagine minus the chick peas. Its a definite no for the soup. I’m not against vegetarian food in general just not wild about most of these specific options.

BEEelegant :  why would two vegetarians want animals farmed and slaughtered for a celebration of their union?

They wouldn’t support the industry the rest of the year.

Even people who eat meat don’t eat animals in every meal. Guests can be served a delicious meal and well catered for with great dishes not containing animals.

There’s something in pretty much all of them that I’m not a fan of but if I had to choose I’d go with Menu 1…the menu 6 and menu 2 mains sound good too but not a fan of the starters with those.

I like the idea of carrot soup with Moroccan-inspired food, so that would be my pick!

Honestly, I wouldn’t eat any of this. I’m a picky eater and I don’t care for cooked vegetables and I also don’t like any soup other than chicken noodle.

Maybe you could offer some salads or fresh fruit and veggie trays or something?

Holy cow some of you probably were fed awful veggie recipes from young!

#1 or #2 sound better – my guess is the caterer behind #1 and #2 has better sense of putting together upscale flavors, than menus 3 – 6. I can see that there is texture, tang, some heavy, and then a little bit of lift – seems like a balanced type of meal.

UK-bee :  I was not trying to be insulant to the OP.  I suppose we just look at this differently.  I would never expect to make my guests conform to my dietary choices – therefore providing them with an option that falls within theirs… vegan, vegetarian, kosher etc…

melonseeds :  Not really. I love quite a few veggies and often have a simple dinner of rice and grilled veggies which is always satisfying. But, I’ve never liked cauliflower, the texture of couscous is ugh, chickpeas bleck, not wild about lentils and carrot soup does not sound at all appetizing.

I am vegan, was vegetarian for 10 years. And I’ll be honest, none of these appeal to me. It just seems like sort of odd food, I guess? I’m not a fan of mushrooms or soup. I love lentils, but the lentil/pine nut thing sounds unappetizing. I love couscous, but I don’t want pomegranate anywhere near it, and peas/mint doesn’t sound like a good combo. Perhaps this food is just a bit too fancy for me (it’s definitely not the first time, lol) but I just thought I’d give my opinion. If there are any other caterers around, maybe you could consider them?

Good luck with your veggie wedding!  😊
