We’re in the process of picking a caterer, all of whom have different price points. I’m extremely budget conscious and worried that I’ll let that cloud my judgement too much. So, which of these menus sounds best to you? All are buffet style.
Apps: Blackened salmon and plantain, seared ahi on wonton crisp, bacon and cheese stuffed baby potato, black and blue beef, tomato and mozz skewers
Mains: Slow roasted beef ribs, grilled salmon with tomato confit
Sides: Grilled summer vegetable salad, frenched onion crusted Mac and cheese
Apps: Wisconsin cheese tray, aged cheddar platter, farmers market feast, sliced fruit display, vegetarian sushi rolls, bacon wrapped date and chorizo, grilled Santa Fe shrimp, goat cheese and olive tapenade crostini
Mains: Chef carved beef tenderloin with horseradish, braised short ribs, salmon, red snapper, or chicken roulade with spinach, mozzarella, red peppers, and champagne cream sauce
Sides: oven roasted red potatoes, sautéed veggies, garden salad
Apps: Ginger pulled pork sliders, avocado bruschetta, hummus tray, southwestern chip and dip tray, caprese skewers
Mains: Whiskey ribeye, tropical salmon, Italian stuffed chicken
Sides: Mixed green salad, Mac and cheese, garlic herb mashed potatoes, summer squash, green bean almondine
Apps: Crispy polenta cake with smoked tomato coulis and crispy pancetta, blt crostini with avocado cream, and mango Brie quesadillas
Mains: Braised beef short ribs, Sea scallops with summer ragout
Sides: Truffle Mac and cheese, herbed red potatoes, orzo with sundried tomatoes and pine nuts
Obviously tastings are important, but which menu sounds the most appealing?
