If you want a round moissy I would suggest the Hollywood Round by JHollywood Designs. It’s pretty gorgeous. Their jewlery always looks pretty nice too

They recently posted a video of it compared to a diamond and the NEO:

I mean, wow.

A moissy won’t ever look just like a diamond though, there are subtle differences (or not so subtle if you have a keen eye.) Don’t get me wrong they are gorgeous stones, (it’s what I myself chose for my engagement ring,) and have tons of sparkle and fire, but they won’t have quite the same depth and crispness as a diamond. Close. But not quite the same due to the double refraction. The absolute closest I’ve seen (in comparison videos, not in person) is the Amora. It is absolutely stunning. Still lots of fire, but more depth than most moissy.

If you want something that looks as identical to a diamond as possible, then I’d also suggest a high quality CZ. There’s someone in the UK selling them (Chris CZ?) and they’re an incredible price for the quality. You could purchase the stone and then have it set by a jewler ๐Ÿ˜Š

Go with moissy. You won’t regret it. No one will look closely enough and it’s no one else’s business. I love my moissy. I have CZ in my wedding band, but it is enhanced with an amorphous coating to make them more resilient. Personally, I like the way moissies look compared to any other stone. I love the fire, I love the moodiness. Do you! If you don’t feel comfortable with a CZ stone and want a moissy, get it! Don’t let anyone bully you into changing your mind!

If you message me, I will let you know where my engagment ring is from ๐Ÿ™‚ super afforable, super gorgeous!

I have a Charles and Colvard round 2 ct Forever One, hearts and arrows Moissanite.  It’s set on a channel band with matching wedding band – all Moissanite.  I can tell you that everyone thinks it’s a real diamond ring, even the jeweler that cleaned my ring thought it was a diamond!  I’m very happy with my choice.  I wouldn’t get anything larger than a 2 ct.  Also, I did a lot of research and found that the Forever One, Hearts and Arrows is cut exactly like a real diamond which is why a jeweler can’t even tell it’s not a diamond… unless he uses a tester.

I have moissanite rings and earrings. I took  my earrings to a high quality manufacturing jeweler and he looked at them through a loupe..and told me how lovely the ‘diamonds’ were.

I bought my moissy from Moissanite Co but since then have bought lose stones from ebay that are amazing.

You won’t regret moissanite.

caraleena :  From what I understand, if you don’t go too big with the H&A or any moissanite cut, 2.5 carats or less, they’ll look the most like a diamond. Depending on the size you want, smaller diamonds can be much more affoardable, or maybe going the antique route might be worth a shot if a diamond is really what you’d like.

I got mine from moissaniteco and nobody not even jeweler’s have thought it was anything but a diamond. I got the oval but as I think someone else has mentioned the round h&a is cut just like a diamond. Every cz Ive ever gotten has gotten cloudy and scratched. I totally disagree with cz looking more diamond like than moissanite, yes a moissanite will sparkle and flame more than a diamond but I feel like cz looks more like white Sapphire where it glows rathe rthan sparkles which makes sense since cz has a closer ri to saphire than diamond. It not as hard so if you’re hard on your jewelry like me you can really only expect a cz to last a few months of daily wear. If you have a Helzberg near you they carry moissanite so you can check them out. if you bring in a cz and put it next to a moissanite or diamond you’ll be able to tell what your favorite is immediately
