My SO and I are trying to decide which name we like for a daughter, we’ve narrowed it down to three and I really need your help deciding! Middle names are also appreciated, our baby’s surname will end in a ‘y’. Thanks bees!
ETA: I know my taste in names is a little…quirkier than most. FH and I aren’t ‘Parker or Jayden’ people, and I know there are people eho don’t like the names. Please be honest bees, I can take it (lord knows I’ve dished it out). I’d rather people say it to my face (sorta) rather than think it behind my back for the rest of my child’s life.

I suppose I like Guinevere the most but that’s only because she will most likely end up being called “Gwen”.
I like Verity followed by Bronwyn.
I looooove Bronwyn! I was pushing for Bronwyn for Dirty Delete2 but Darling Husband hated it. I know a Bronwen is who awesome, too 🙂

Guinevere is the only one I think it alright. And I’d definitely want to call the child Gwen for short.
ETA: I see you added the nickname Vera. I think Vera sounds old lady. I’m still voting nickname Gwen.

I like Guinevere because it’s different… But I’d call her Gwen too, Or i guess you could call her Vera or something but that sounds kind of old. I do really like Bronwyn too. I’ve only ever met one Bronwyn. I dont’ really like Verity, but I’ve never heard it before, so if you’re going for unique it would be a good one.
I voted Guinevere cause it’s the only name I recognize 😉

I think Vera is pretty but Verity is…well…it just sounds so similar to “severity” to me and that isn’t really a word I’d want associated with my kid, lol.

@Westwood: I agree.. Verity, severity…sound too close
And Verity for some reason makes me think of virginity… just.. no.. for me
Brownyn, pronounced like the color brown??
My fave is Guinevere, since that is the only one that is different, yet not completely off the wall to me. Sorry……..

@pinkshoes: It’s fine, personal taste is bound to differ! Bronwyn is pronounced bron-win. I never made the connection between Verity and severity, but that’s just me. Maybe if I pick that name she’ll grow up to be a supreme court judge or something equally serious.

Oh Guinevere is so beautiful, though I love Verity and Bronwyn too. But I’d kill to use Guinevere. My son would have been Guinevere Elowen
Post # 16
Don’t do Verity, please. It sounds like an STD, SORRY. It really sounds like a disease or something, I’m awful. SORRY!
Bronwyn looks too much like “brown” and I’m not even 100% I’m pronouncing it correctly.
By process of elimination and because I like Vera, I chose Guinevere.
