Where do I start? So many things annoy me about my DH! I think because he is undiagnosed ADHD.. He can NEVER sit still. I like to sit quietly, watch TV, and have my whole body still etc. he cant sit and watch tv and not be doing something with his hands. Whether it’s touching his beard, picking spots on his knees, biting his nails, and the most annoying- twisting his fringe! He just does it without thinking… He will sit there and twirl his fringe lightly through his fingers. He doesn’t know he’s doing it, and he might come up to me in the kitchen after doing it for an hour and he looks like Cameron Diaz in Something about Mary! im like “omg u should see ur hair!”

he flicks his false teeth. He wears a palate cos he lost two teeth playing rugby. he clicks it around his mouth!! It makes the loudest click sound! ahhhhh!!!!

he will stare at the iPad while I’m talking, and when I say “and you’ve zoned out…” He’s like “I’m listening babe!” Like so earnestly.. Funny thing is that he’s told me on a few occasions that he tunes put when me (and others) talk, and he just takes a guess when I say “what did I just say then?”!!!!!!

hes told me he ENJOYS annoying me- he thinks it’s funny to get a rise out of me and to see me getting increasingly annoyed over trivial things. By the time he lets up, kisses me and tells me he’s just messing about, I’m fuming and want to kill him.

you can tell he’s in my bad books at the moment because I could go on all day!!!!!

@juliana192:  my SO dreams about food while he sleeps and then makes this super annoying chewing with his mouth open noise like he’s trying to eat invisible food. When I am grumpy and trying to sleep this drives me crazy!!!!! Lol

@NYCkindaBee:

I must confess that I enjoy cracking my joints too. It is loud and gross.

It reduces the stiffness in my body.

@HeatherMM:  Oh, don’t even get me started on tissues! My SO has really bad allergies, so he is ALWAYS blowing his nose. He leaves his crumpled up tissues laying around EVERYWHERE. I always tell him that it wouldn’t be a normal day without me following him around to throw away all of these tissues. He will even leave them on the counter next to the trash can!

@beetee123:  Haha! Mine leaves dishes and clothes all over the place and complains when he comes home from work and it’s not “picked up in here.” Oh sorry, I didn’t know I was in charge of his mess, I clean up my own messes. If I see he’s left dishes around, I’ll pick those up when I do the dishes, but I don’t pick up his piles of clothes all over the bathroom and dining room.

@HeatherMM:  lol my SO is meticulously clean, but he always leaves socks, towels and tissues around. He also has this thing where he just sets dirty dishes next to the sink. Like you couldn’t put it in?! His mom always had them set dishes for her to rinse, but mine made us rinse our own. It’s like he sets it there even if in 30 mins he’s going to come back and actually do the dishes LOL.

@KateByDesign:  My SO does this too!!!  It’s with anything dippable, really. I call him a sauce whore.

The one that gets to me most is that when he’s nervous or upset, he chews on his fingertip. I wouldn’t even notice but it makes this squeaking noise and I’m just like CAN YOU NOT. I think he’s cut down a little and honestly it probably shouldn’t even bother me as much as it does, but that squeaking noise is just like NO NO NO NO STOP.

Then again, you know if anything happened to him, I’d miss that noise and wish for hearing it again…

@trueblue14:  HAHA My father is like that, my mom complains about it all the time.

He makes this crazy sound when he clears his throat and I’ve recently started pointing out that he says ‘you know’ about 80 times a day. I once counted 9 “y’know”s in 3 minute conversation.

@beetee123:  Mine is the same way! He goes on a crazy cleaning frenzy every couple of days and complains if I don’t do enough cleaning if I’m home during the day, yet he’s the one who makes the mess.

@HeatherMM:  It’s so frustrating! Since I’m on my semester break I’ve had three days off a week instead of just the weekends. Usually on that day he’s at work, so I do all of the cleaning that I want to get done. He happened to be home that day this week, so he helped, which was nice at first, but then I saw him in our bedroom pulling things out from under the bed. We store a few boxes of things we don’t need under there, and he was going through every single box. He ended up throwing out one tiny instruction booklet or something, but just putting the rest back under. Meanwhile, I couldn’t clean anything in the bedroom because of the mess he made!

My SO is so utterly forgettful that I have literally torn out my hair in frustration at certain points in our relationship. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to repeat myself over and over, and to get him to do something, I ususally have to turn into a nagging she-beast. I have to follow up with him on the simplest things.

Also, he has what I call, a severe lack of common sense sometimes.

Another thing: I tell him all the time that just because he assumes something, doesn’t make it fact, and he needs to make sure what he’s saying and thinking is correct. An example: We were having a birthday dinner at Applebee’s and he invites his friend from another town, thirty minutes away. 99% of the people in attendence live in town A, SO’s friend lives in town B. For whatever reason, he simply assumed we were having the party in the completely different town and had his friend meet us there, thirty minutes away, thus making his friend late for the festivities and severely annoyed. When asked, he just assumed we were having it there. In regards to this <—- I could literally write you a novel on how many times he has simply assumed something as fact and been W.R.O.N.G.

Lastly, he can never seem to do simple things that I ask him to do. I’m ususally 5 steps ahead of my SO and have the ability to foresee things that for whatever reason he cannot. An example of this would be if we are supposed to have dinner with his brother and wife and I ask him to text his brother to ask if we are still on for that night, but he doesn’t, and then at the last minute, after we’ve rearranged things in our lives already, they cancel and, had my SO just listened to me and done what I asked earlier, we would have known this and could have planned accordingly.

My SO is the sweetest human being on Earth, but sometimes, he makes me see red, haha!!!

I love love love my fiance. But he never returns phone calls or really checks his phone. Often he will get finally check his phone and he’ll have a missed message from one of his friends inviting us to do something when it’s already over!

Also, when it comes to his family, he never returns their phonecalls and I always end up being the one that has to do it. He just doesn’t like the phone. Grumble grumble.

He makes himself tea every morning… and instead of taking one step to put the spoon in the dishwasher he leaves it in the sink. Then when I get home from work I have to unstick the spoon from the sink & put it in the dishwasher. It drives me NUTS. I’ve asked him a million times to put it in the dishwasher, I don’t know why it’s so difficult.
