futuremrsc2be:  honestly, as some other bees have said… i would just focus on something that is eye clean. sometimes the placements of inclusions make lower grade stones, look better and vise-versa. also, a clear, well cut stone with a slight yellow tint will probably sparkle better than a white stone with lots of inclusions or a poor cut.

also, every stone will sparkle and look its best under those jewlery store lights, so take a step back from the counter and try to look at it under the normal light, cup your hand over it and see what it looks like… that will give you a better idea of what the stone will look like in real life.

don’t get too hung up on any of the C’s… stones are a package deal of all aspects. i feel people that focus too much on certain C’s or leave out other C’s completely, miss out.

oh & don’t let the jewlers bully you either! if you like how something looks and sparkles… then go for it!

Doesn’t matter if a diamond is J and I1 if it looks pretty to you and it’s well-set… who cares? Buy what looks pretty and sparkles and fits in your budget.
