- Wedding: November 2012
I’m feeling like I’m starting to near the end of the tunnel with dress shopping, but would like your opinions! The wedding is on the beach in late fall (its still plenty warm here, so no worries about that!) and I’m going for a modern romance dress vibe to fit our casual/elegant/romantic themed wedding.
Here I am in my top choice, David’s Bridal PK3226 (please ignore my awful hair and my goofy expressions!):
Obviously too small, but she held back the top for me as it would be when properly fitted and it made me look so slender! Love! Also, I’m trying it on with a Vera Wang sash- may change that for something with a little bit of bling. Its a super lightweight organza-like fabric that isn’t too flowy/still has enough structure for a fall wedding, in my opinion.
Then there are the other three that I really liked on:
Forgot the designer of this one! Its a lace overlay with tiny clear beaded accents in each of the lace pieces. I’d probably remove a crinoline layer from this one. Its also has a lot more train than I wanted. But still very vintagey looking and pretty if slightly more formal than the first.
Sorry, don’t know why its turned sideways here! Its right side up on my computer… =/
Then another one from DB, but I don’t know how I feel about the shiny satin fabric:
And most definitely without the large sash in the back. Sorry, you have to look close to see the front in this pic.
And finally, this pretty Maggie Sottero which is at the very top of my budget and is probably not all that realistic, considering alteration costs. It was also a size or 2 too big, so some of the proportions are a bit off. (Again, sideways… sorry! Don’t know how to fix that)
So, of these four, what do you say?
