i’m hung up on shoes. i don’t do very well in heels, probably because i almost never wear them, not because of health conditions or whatnot. so, i bought these because i thought they were really cute and were something i could most definitely wear again, even though i kind of wanted something i could put a fancy shoe clip on. (the toe detail is cute, but i would have rather had something else there for the wedding.) i actually saw these in person and tried them on before buying too, so i know they really are super comfy.
however, spurred by a post on the dress board about target having a line of Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses now (so cute!), i of course checked out their formal shoe selection and found these. OMG i’m in love! i fear the heel a bit. but WOW these’ll look cute in pix, expecially if i take the bows off and do something else there (and put the bows back on afterward)…hell, even if i leave the bows there! there isn’t going to be any dancing at the wedding because i just know there won’t (and we’re not getting a DJ).
they’re only $20, but i can’t try them on because they’re only available online.
this is me in my dress (i’m considering removing the crinny and slimming the skirt by a fair amount):
what do you think? the color of either is perfect…the metallic bronzy shade of the pair i already own and the champagne satin of the pair i’m cheating on them with, lol.

I think you should go with #1; the shoe you like and heel height you are comfortable in.
Regardless of what you pick, I’m a big advocate of brining in a second shoe of equal height to change into at some point of the evening. You will be standing a lot that day and your feet will get tired and welcome the change of shoe. The reason it has to be the same height is because of your hemline….
ETA: I wore 3 1/2 inch heels and other than a couple shoe pictures I requested – you don’t really see my shoes at all. I also think if you aren’t comfortable wearing heels, it’s not going to do you any favors to try getting used to them all of a sudden on the wedding day.

IMO you should wear the style of shoes that you are comfy in. The high heels are mega cute, however if you aren’t used to wearing them my guess is that they will be off your feet by the end of the night. MY thought process is that I want to enjoy my wedding…I don’t want to be thinking about how bad my feet hurt while I’m trying to smile for pictures and I want to be able to dance the night away. For all these reasons I think you should go with the shoes you own or find a pair with that height heel if you want new shoes.

I voted for number one because you mentioned that you don’t do well in heels. You should be comfortable on your wedding day as well.
