Go to the movies or have coffee…I get bored eating lol and wouldn’t go out and get a drink bymyself for a reasons so those are two things I really wouldn’t want to do alone by choice.

Having a coffee – although it wouldn’t be an actual coffee cuz I dislike them.

I have eaten in a restaurant by myself more than once, but I wasn’t 100% comfortable doing it.

Never done the movie thing alone, it’s something I might do, but again wouldn’t be 100% comfortable.

Going for a drink alone without a meal?  I would have some safety concerns at that point like getting home.  Don’t know if I ever would do that.

merighthere :  movies and a coffee I would do and have done by myself. I would never drink in a bar alone because I worked in a bar and the majority of the people who came in alone and drank had drinking problems and life problems. So I associate drinking alone with addiction so therefore I won’t ever drink alone.

Ive eaten alone at food courts at the shopping centre/mall but I won’t eat at a proper restaurant on my own because I spent a lot of my life overweight and my head always goes to the spot where I think people are staring at me eating  overweight and alone and judging me!!!! Same as why I hate buffet places because I think people see me and think I’m going to eat all the wings and leave no food for them. I’ve lost loads of weight and I’m only now a tiny bit overweight but I still can’t shake the thoughts in my head.!!! Totally stupid I know but when you’ve  had a few remarks along those lines thoughts compound and manifest themselves In your brain!

I have done all of these things alone at one point or another, but I personally don’t see the point to eating in a restaurant alone. I would SO much rather get it to go, bring it home, and be able to watch a movie with it or whatever rather than hanging around in a restaurant with only my phone for company. A drink is similar in that if I’m going to have it alone, it would probably make more sense for me to make it myself at home rather than deal with all the hassle (from my perspective) of going out, but if I want something fancy or I’m really craving something very specific, I wouldn’t mind going out on my own.

That being said, I really enjoy my own company and I’m not a fan of going out even with companionship – it’s just so much of a hassle, takes so much effort, and I feel like I can get all the benefits with none of the drawbacks if we hang closer to home.

I picked movies because I went once on my own, but even that felt kind of awkward. I couldnt’t do any of them without feeling so awkward
