Snice the first thread brought some scandal, I deleted it and created a new one. I wasn’t able to delete or edit the original post to exclude that vendor. For those who pointed out about that vendor, thank you.
But I would like to stay on topic this time. Since some like the third vendor, I’m putting it back here but trying to decide between that and another I failed to put in the first time.
So it’s between
I’m typing this through my iPhone so I can’t shorten the links but both vendors are legit (unlike the other one) and within my price range. I liked a few others but they are a little overbudget. While photography is one of our biggest splurge, we do want to keep it in a reasonable price without sacrificing on the quality.
hopefully this thread is successful the second time around.

I didn’t see the first thread, but I would go with delorenzo. The first one has some great pictures, a lot of good pictures, but quite a few that I would be pretty upset upon receiving. There are a lot of pictures that are crooked, and they don’t seem to have a consistent editing style either.

Hopefully both reply to me soon! I personally like #2 (even though it’ll be only her, but at least it’s the whole day) but Fiance wants to find something cheaper, thus favors #1.
In fact, he’s still in denial that the photographer from my last thread would steal pics. I showed him the Tumblr page to him before deleting the thread and he’s still in denial. We end up arguing about it last nite about it.

I’m a firm believe in not choosing someone because they’re less expensive. That is the one thing I would not comprise on. You’re going to have these pictures for the rest of your life might as well make sure you like looking at them 🙂

I would definitely pick # 2. And her pics are all consistent. I’m going to say they are probably all hers haha!:)

I don’t think it’s even a competition 🙂 2nd!

Thanks! Still having trouble to decide on either one. Both are sweet ladies and it’s hard to lean towards one or the other. #1 is willing to stretch out the hours since I want to capture the fireworks at the end. #2 throws in an assistant for no charge and can sub the album with the e-session outside the area. And both have favorable reviews.
Meanwhile, the other photographer (from the first thread) still has his website up.

#2, without a doubt. Their work is consistant with good editing.
#1 has horrible editing.
I couldn’t find a blog on either site, which for me would be an immediate elimination. The second one at least has the semblance of a decent website but I would still be looking.
Actually #1 has a blog but for some reason the link is broken in the last couple of days. #2 updates via Facebook and a blog. As long as they have an active FB, I won’t completely cross anyone off because they don’t have a blog.
As for prices, #1’s highest ($2400) includes only 9 hours, 2 photographers, and all the pics. In addition, she’s going to charge about $300 for E-pics out of the area. #2’s highest ($3K) includes the e-pics, full day coverage, her and an assistant, a 30-page album, all the rights to the pics, and a viewing gallery for those who want to purchase. Her next package is the same as #1, but without the e-session.
I’ve thought of at least 3 others I really like but Fiance and I agreed not to spend more than $3500 on pics. There is one photographer who actually lives in my area but she starts at $4K.

Get the best possible photographer to photograph your event with whatever your maximum budget is. Worry about the stuff later.
So here’s the others I left out because of potential budget reasons. However, we both agree that if we can sacrifice anything, it would be the album.
I’m just putting their initials to check out.
AW (starts at $2200 without album, but you never know)
JH (starts at $2600 but don’t know if it’s all day or only 8 hrs)
MJ (starts at $3200, she really updated her blog lately)
LL (she starts at $3K but it’s 8 hrs, we need more than 8)
Don’t forget to consider JDL (#2 from the original post) as well
