This is my dress ensemble so far:
Priscilla of Boston mermaid gown:
navy blue crinoline:
accents of bridal bling everywhere including….
full crystal belt:
Dazzling Badgley Mischka Lissa heels:
Crystal buttons down the back of my gown:
bouquet is made of shiny silver/gold brooches:
So now I’m onto bridal jewelry and because of the simplicity of my gown and the high number of photos taken from the waist up, I’ve had my heart set on a statement necklace for just about as long as I can remember…
I love the Kate Spade and there are many on sale today only but found Dillards has similar for cheaper so here are our choices:
Kate Spade Pave Posey Necklace for $79 (reg $245)
Kate Spade Sweet Spot Short Necklace $99 (reg $295)
ORRRR From Dillards:
Anna & Ava Charlotte Pearl Statement Necklace $68:
Anna & Ava Beaded Statement Necklace $99:
(couldn’t find a “real life” photo but I imagine its amazing)
I’m a little weary to wear gold with my belt being so silver but gold IS one of our wedding colors and I have gold in my bouquet from some brooches so which do you think would be best ladies?
A penny for your thoughts…
Thank you girls!

None of those necklaces. I actually like your look with the simple necklace you have on in the photos.

I agree with the previous poster. The simple necklace is much better. Ps I love the navy plue crinoline on your dress!! Too cute!

I agree none of these necklaces – they are all too heavy. Also you should wear a silver necklace being the full crystal belt is silver not gold.

None of them. I would have said the first one, but I think it will look strange to have a gold necklace with the silver toned belt. Maybe something like a simpler version of the last one?

So you think I should choose between the belt or the necklace?

Sweet spot. I get the sense you like bling so I say go for it!

I think if you want to wear one, it should be closer to the stones in your belt. The pearls are being thrown in there randomly, I think, unless there are some on the belt too.

Another vote for something more simple! I love love love the blingy belt! You could definitely still have a sparkly necklace, just….smaller, more simple. Good luck on your search! P.S. You look gorgeous in that dress! It looks like it was made just for you!

I disagree with the PPs, I think that you should definitely pick a statement necklace…but it needs to be silver to match your belt IMO.

I agree with going with a simpler necklace. The belt is so pretty and gives you a nice shape, but I think a chunky necklace would be taking attention away from it.

@loving_life: okay okay I’ve added that “none” option to the poll… thanks for being honest :]
@MrsElopement: I haven’t seen this necklace in real life so that’s my only hesitation… but its goooooorgeous and I didn’t even know it was kate spade – I just loved it when I first saw it on the bride pictured… *swoon*
@ItWasntMe: Yeah I liked the pearls because they are close to the color of my dress and we are having a nautical wedding soooo you know 😉 Thanks for your input!
@curlymama318: Awe thank you so much – you are so lovely! I didn’t reeeeeally want to wear the necklace I have on cuz its my everyday necklace (Tiffany’s… a gift from Fiance on the first birthday we shared together hehe) so maybe I’ll look for something smaller but I really wanted a wowing necklace to shine in the photos… thanks for your input!
@Fsunicole: ooo okay so you think the last one? I think it could work too~ the gold might clash a bit so I’m wondering how much gold comes through in real life. Thanks for your vote!
@Regina Phalange: Awe thanks 🙂 Yeah I like the belt cuz it hides the boning at the waist but I need to get it attached to the dress and to be honest, I am a little worried about it because Fiance doesn’t actually like belts… they remind him of weight lifters! This has obviously always been something we dissagree on but its heavy on my mind as well… maybe I should do a necklace instead of the belt?

I would keep the belt and find a statement necklace that’s silver. I just don’t like gold/silver mixed much.
Edit-is this one too much?

@BlondeMissMolly: ooo that is gorgeous! I think i’ve actually seen that one before but I probably passed on it cuz its $245. I do love that its a collar and wouldn’t move around and become uneven & etc. I’ll definitely think about it… thank you! maybe I could get some $ back with resale…
