Hi all, I am getting married on October 10th, 2015. I’m currently trying to decide between two photographers. The first is one I found and I love his work! Please check out his portfolio and tell me what you think of it. http://www.photogdavid.net/
The other photographer I am not sure about. My future Mother-In-Law recommended her to me since she is cheaper than the photographer I found. She also has a great reputation for doing great work. But so does the photographer that I found. Anyway, her photos are very good but I can’t decide if they are as good as the first photographer I found. To my admittedly untrained eye, the quality of her photos doesn’t seem as good. But I don’t know. I might be second guessing myself. Here is the link to her website. http://www.traciegrizzle.com/
If it were you and you were trying to decide which photos you liked more, who would you go with? Please help me! I asked my Fiance and he is no help. Just says to me “I trust your judgment.” Sigh.

Personally I like the personality and style of David, but that’s my personal taste. He seems like he has an artistic eye which would draw me to him, but you can’t go wrong with either!

The second photographer’s pictures seem pretty grainy/low quality to me, I do agree that the quality doesn’t seem to be good enough (IMO) for wedding pictures as that’s one area I wouldn’t skimp on. That said, I can’t seem to figure out how to see a lot of pictures on the first photographer’s website either. His blog has only 4 entries and the wedding pictures album is locked. I would not judge his work by his “featured” pictures since it’s very limited and of course he’s going to choose the very best – anyone can get a few good pictures. When I was choosing photographers, I spent hours looking through their blogs at TONS of pictures. Of course, they probably only blogged the “best” pics, too, but at least it was a greater sample size and you can really get an idea of their eye. Also the first photographer says he is a primarily glamour portrait photographer, to me that sounds like he’s going to be mostly interested in posed pictures. I wanted candids and a photojournalistic approach with soft lighting, but that’s personal preference.

I don’t like second one at all to be honest..first one is better

i like the first one better, but honestly, any ‘photographer’ that does selective colouring (i.e., a black and white shot with one coloured-in element)…. not so much. It’s really dated, and says a lot about them…. IMO. I would keep looking if I were you….

I agree with TonyClifton that I would keep looking. You probably would do OK with the first one, but I am sure you want spectacular for your photos.

Honestly, I’d choose neither of them, I’d keep looking.

I would keep looking. The first one doesnt seem very creative and those random slutty hoochie pictures are a huge turn off. The second one is super cheesy and also dated and not super creative.

I think both photographers are just okay based on what I saw on their websites. I do agree that the first one is better quality. However I would keep looking
