Probably the first one.

But the autoplay music was a major turn-off for both of them.

I personally prefer the second one (Dwayne Watkins). The posed shots seem a bit more natural, and I prefer the post-production.

ETA: on looking through them again it’s a close call. Neither are fully my ‘style’ but if it is yours then you’re not really going to go wrong with either.

I prefer the first one. The contrast and color saturation is too high for my tastes with the second one.

The first one is more posed, the second seems a bit more candid – depends on the style you like. I’d pick the second because of the more interesting shots and incorporation of colour.  This says Jamaica to me.

The first one, but he only has about a dozen photos on his website. (unless i missed them?) If you meet with him, ask to see a full portfolio. I dont really like the posed shots, but his color is better.

I think #2 is better.  There is a lot of contrast and color in #2s photos, but it’s not to the point that it looks over edited.  I’m not crazy about #1s post editing, because the skin tones of the people in the photos look really weird.

#2 definitely.  The first photographer has some serious editing issues.  So much that 75% of the people he takes pictures of look like they have severe sunburns that require hospitalization. He needs to tone down the reds BIG time.

I’m instantly drawn to the second photographer.  Soemthing about the first one’s photos seem slightly less refined to me.  But just my opinion.

Anyone with autoplay music or who didn’t have a blog would be automatically eliminated for me.  Both of the photographers have similar looks.  The first one doesn’t have enough material on their site or a blog. The second one has some issues with over sharpening images… this could just be for the blog but it was something I noticed.

#1 important thing is whether or not the photography of either of them resonate with you.  Who cares what anyone else here thinks?  If you’ve narrowed it down to two, meet with both of them and pick the one whose personality best suits yours.
