Thank you all for replying!
@pengoala: It seems like Christine Lim is the most popular – wow, this really surprises me! Can I ask which wedding you looked at? I think Jess & Leon’s wedding was by far her most beautiful and has been featured a lot – so I’d love to know if you looked at that wedding or one of her other ones…
@sealevels: I like IZO too. My Maid/Matron of Honor is getting married before me and this is who she picked – as a budding pro photographer herself, I thought that was a pretty big compliment for their work.
@seAprilbride: Hmmm, that’s interesting, I definitely didn’t notice that. I’m actually doing an engagement shoot with Still Love – http://stilllove.com.au/ and that put me off considering them as a wedding photog – their work is very dark and moody and tonnes of B&W, I’m very much a colour girl and wouldn’t ask them to change their style 🙂 It’s definitely not my preference, I haven’t gone out of my way to find it…
@gramgeek: I agree, I think for Aussie photogs if might be more artistic and expensive and less “happy snap”? Although I personally know I love sunbursts and look for those in wedding photos – the opposite of b&w grainy really 🙂
Wow, your answer really really surprised me. I’m not sure if I’m violating privacy or anything by sharing, I hope not, but for all the same packages (so they are equal standing) – Christine is by far the cheapest.
Her package would cost me under $4,000 and all the rest are over $5,000. Only a little bit over, but still a big difference. Mind you, that includes 8 hours of coverage, an album, all my images on disc, I definitely don’t think any of them are out of the budget 🙂
In terms of experience I think Christine Lim & IZO are definitely the newest to the industry and Nectarine and Merge are much more “known” for beautiful featured Perth weddings.
I will say, that I’m quite torn between Christine Lim & Merge in terms of their work and their personality and I’m surprised nobody has really gone nuts over Merge…
IZO blew me away with their package – it includes a photobooth!
And Nectarine seems to do all of the “big weddings” in Perth – like all the other great vendors in Perth have Nectarine shoot their wedding and it ends up featured everywhere – so I loved that side of things.
Tough decisions! And I need a venue, haha!
