I’ve been taking New Chapter Perfect Prenatal. They are organic food-based vitamins. I wanted a vitamin without dyes and [unfermented] soy.

You take 3 pills a day so they are smaller (about the size of a Tylenol caplet), easier on the stomach, and when you spread it out it helps with absorption because some nutrients your body can only absorb a certain amount at a time. They also have probiotics to aid in easy digestion.

They don’t taste metalicy. They do have a slightly grassy alfalfa smell to them, but that’s because they have herbs too.

I’ve been taking them for about 9 months now with no problems.

(I also take 2K IU Vitamin D, 400 mgc extra folic acid, and Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA.)

I’ve been lucky in that the prenatals have not bothered me at all. I just take a generic grocery store brand prenatal. I compared the nutrition information and it has the exact same content as the way more expensive Vitafusion.

I take Rainbow Light Prenatal

I actually started taking this when we were first TTC – at the suggestion of the ‘Bees (I also take a DHA supplement). The reviews on here were saying that it was gentle on the stomach and vegetarian, both of which were important to me. When I did get pregnant and asked my OB about what to take she said it was perfect. It’s been great!

I have been taking Nature’s Made with DHA, but it is one pill. It is pretty huge but coated, but I have not had the gross fish after taste from it, so that is a plus.

I take the Walgreen’s generic – no weird tastes for me and they are manageable to swallow.

I take Pregvit. They’re a prescription from the doctor – and covered by many drug plans (except mine..bummer). They’ve got 1.1 g of folic acid rather than the 400 mg like some others.

They are two a day (one in the morning with the folic) and one in the afternoon with calcium to ensure max. absorption. They’re a little on the big side, but not hard to get down.

No weird effects/tastes for me.

I take Target chewables, and the target brand DHA. The chewables are disgusting. I would love to find another chewable that I won’t dread taking.

I have been taking target prenatals for about a year – and then when got pregnant took the target DHA supplement.  No weird taste or big size and as long as I take with a meal, no nausea.

I also take Rainbow Light. I’ve been taking it for a few months to prep my body and I’ve never had any side effects from it.
