@bells:

Yeah, I saw them with the other prenatals at my grocery store and I *think* they sell them on Amazon as well?

I was taking the VitaFusion gummies at first. They worked out alright for a while, but then the texture and gumminess started to gross me out so I had to stop.

Right now, I take a prescription one. I actually have no idea what the brand name is, the bottle just says FE Fulmarate/Folic. I’m sure it’s some kind of secret, super-soldier steriod since it’s an unnamed prescription from the military. lol

I take the Vitafusion gummy pre-natals, along with the vitafusion calcium gummys and the vitafusion b-complex gummys. I agree that the sugar on the prenatal is a little gross, but IMO it is far better than swallowing a pill! I buy on Amazon as the prices are cheaper than in my local drug store. I’ve never had a problem with any of the gummys.

I also take the gummy Vitafusion prenatals. Love them. I hate swallowing big pills, so these are great. They taste good, too. Just be aware they do not have an iron.

My doctor prescribed Prenatal Plus. They are pretty big and I’m the worst pill swallower, but those things go down very easily!  Also, no strange taste and no side effects.

I looked at a few chewables/gummy ones, but they don’t seem to have any iron in them.

I was taking the Nature Made prenatals with DHA from Costco, but about 2 weeks ago I had to stop taking them. The pill is so huge and smells so bad that I would throw up or at least dry heave EVERY TIME after taking them. I have been eating a pretty healthy diet and just taking a small folic acid supplement since then. My Dr. said that although prenatals are great, they do make a lot of people sick and you just need to eat a super healthy diet! I am looking for some good chewaby or gummy prenatals?

@Jenn23: I heard that sometimes extra iron during pregnancy can cause extra nausea because it is hard on the stomach.

@MissDareDevil: Interesting. Someone on a recent thread also said that iron shouldn’t be taken at the same time as another vitamin, so that is why some prenatals don’t include the iron. I love the vitafusion gummies. Check them out!

I take Prenatabs which are a prescription one. Why should I buy OTC when my insurance covers it for free?

I take the Rainbow Light- My doc recommended them and I haven’t had any negative side effects.

PS- thanks for the reminder to take my vitamin… I just ran and grabbed it! 🙂

I’m taking the Vitafusion gummies for now, since they don’t make me gag the way the big vitamins did.  My plan is to switch back to the CVS brand prenatals (horse pills) once my nausea goes away.  (If my nausea goes away), since those have iron in them, and the Vitafusion ones don’t.
